Yep, Dead Space probably.

It's not the best (not even one of the 10 best), but it's an oasis of survival horror in the 360 generation.

I'm replaying it right now in the spirit of the season and all the noises you hear are just so top notch. The story is so generic 80's horror SciFi and I love it.

It's a crime to play dead space without headphones on though, feels like an entirely different game.

RE4 isn't a horror game. There's not a damn thing in the game that's scary. It's the exact point RE jumped the shark from survival horror to third person shooter action.

I actually haven't gotten a chance to play 3 at all since I bought the same pack on steam. A lot of people hated 3 but I wouldn't really mind trying it out at some point.

I had a bug but its only the first door, you need to turn vsync off, then go to your graphic cards options and force its v sync for the game. thats all.

When I had a sli 760 rig it didn't work, I upgraded to a crossfire r9 390 configuration and now it works.

Doom 64 pretty much still keeps me on my toes since it kind of fucking traumatized me as a kid (mom used to play it a lot). Atmosphere + Music + Pinkies = Nightmares for years.

Nothing has really came close to giving me the chills besides Dreadout and the Silent Hill games(2-4)

I don't say this often, but you have shit taste. I dont care if you like deadspace or not, but that moment was objectively scary. If you werent scared of those motherfuckers in that area then you are unsalvageable

Why couldn't they have just stuck with the space part? As soon as I got to the planet it was shit, a shame too becuase I could tell they were trying to get some THE THING vibes going and it just didnt work, we already know about necromorphs. The THING only works because we dont know what it is, the paranoia only works if we have a select few people we aren't sure about. It doesnt work if its already happened, we already know about the necromorphs and we're just trying to escape the place.

I have a hard on for Isaac's primary attack since he puts his whole body into it.

Nah dude those are fun scary games, like being stuck in a virtual horror maze.

I was a little let down by the outlast ending though. I know I wasn't really in it for the story but I was still a little let down.

I agree, I also disliked the ending.
Really liked the DLC though.

I loved being able to look over your shoulder in Outlast too. Thought that was a cool mechanic. Although I usually shat myself when they were right behind me.

the only thing scary are when you meet the regenarators, or listen to the audiologs to find out what happened (well thats not really scary, just eerie)
