Useful anyway for those stupid save files that are "copy protected". Service otherwise pretty much blows. The bonus games haven't been exciting in a long time and the discounts PS+ people get aren't all that substantial, assuming there's even something you want to buy.

I haven't renewed my PS+ subscription since it ended in summer and the way things are going, I won't be renewing it for a long time. I wish PS+ wasn't mandatory for PS4 multiplayer games, because of that IGC quality dropped a lot.

Does anyone even remember the poll Sony made a year or two (maybe even three) back? It was to see what genre of games people wanted to get with PS+ and in 1st place was RPG (JRPG). We got DaS, Dragon's Dogma because of it and that was it. No more good RPGs.

Also what the fuck happened to free themes, avatars, betas, free trials?

Maybe if all you care about is weebtrash for pedophiles or Call of Duty. However:
1. These are games of the highest caliber, The Walking Dead being one of the high watermarks of interactive storytelling and Magicka being one of if not the greast hack 'n slash games of all time, possibly superiror even to Diablo series.
2. Playstation 4 is a brand new gaming audience, we have hard data on this. So Sony is actually doing the PS4 crowd a favor by broadening their gaming horizons step by step, month after month.

I know you expected Sony to give away the fucking Taken King for free, but thankfully most PS4 owners (again, we have hard data on this) are not entitled like your ugly ass.

Now that they have a secured $50-$60 income a year per several millions of users, they don't need to put so much effort into their perk system. Just make it enticing enough at first for people to sign up, then slowly scale it down as more join. For PS+, locking up online behind the paywall for PS4 was the coup de grace.

I played through all of S1 on PC but lost the save, so I haven't bothered getting or playing S2. I obviously don't have S1 on PS4. Should I just play it anyway if I thought S1 was enjoyable?

There are some really minor callbacks. Mostly just mentioning stuff that happened in passing. Pretty rare though. Same with the mini-episode between 1 and 2, where one of the five is guaranteed to always show up in season 2, while the rest you just see from a distance for 2 seconds if you got them to go as well.

It probably wouldn't hurt at all not to carry the save data over. That said, season 2 is also markedly inferior to season 1, largely because all of the characters suck and playing as Clementine just gives you 1 less person to care about because being 100% in control of her is less meaningful than being an example to her as Lee.

They haven't gotten anything good for quite some time. Vita always get cross-platform indies that no one wants and PS3 gets old games that everyone already has or indies like Vita/PS4.
