I started Fallout with 3 and don't think there's anything wrong with what Bethesda has done with it.

You people act like the isometric Fallout games were amazing, but they sold like crap and went out of business. We don't talk about Fallout 1&2 around here like we do with older titles like; VTMB, Zeldas, KOTOR etc. so is /v/ disinterested or were they not that amazing?

Loved the old fallouts. Hate Divinity, Pillars and Wasteland 2. Kinda liked F3, loved NV.

They were actually some of the best selling games back then.
They went out of business because Interplay, their publisher, kept pushing to enter the console space with shitty games like Brotherhood of Steel.

FO1/2 are fast as well if you set the turn speed to the fastest

It is for me. I like Isometric RPG's, I do, and I'm not a big fan of FPS.

However, I love the Fallout post-apocalypse setting and the iso system just doesn't immerse me into exploring the world like walking around in first/third person does.
