I need a new gayming mouse and pretty much narrowed it down to these two. Rubber sides on the DA are a huge turn-off, so i might go with the Zowie. Can anyone share opinions on the Zowie EC1-A?

DA Chroma is great, as with any DA.
Steelseries Rival feels better in my hand.

I stole both, ergo got them completely for free, so inb4 shilling. The only mice I've paid for before were DAs and cheap Windows shit though; you can always rely on DA.

I am currently using the EC1-A

Its abit bigger than DA but the quality of the sensor is much better, much more precise without all the flashy muh razer stuff

the only thing that is bad about it is that the mousewheel can be faulty on some models, mine was, and I didnt RMA it, after using it for a while it fixed itself. I think there is a piece that shouldnt be there and you need to grind it out.

8/10 mouse this, if you want precision and good feel go for it, be ready for slight complications tho

I had a steelseries Rival, but the rubber sides on it wore down around the thumb area after about 3-4 months of usage.
Isnt it the same with the DA Chroma?
Also, i used a naga molten before that and it started double clicking, so now im wary of Razer products.

I dunno about wearing it down like that. You must be sweating a lot?
I just clean my tools with a cheap $5 something "PC Accessories Cleaning Kit" I got in a whatever toolshop every few weeks when it feels dirty. Feels as new when I do.

It's not like you move your thumb when you game.
At most, at least I, just gently touch the side with my thumb. If I need to use the two buttons I just swiftly click on them and move back.
