>>314839664>Serious question /v/, where should I start if I want to learn Japanese?Depends on what exactly do you want to know. Real world Japanese - the actual Japanese that is used by people in Japan to communicate with each others?
Literary Japanese, the one in which most of Japanese literature is written in?
Or do you just want to be able to understand games and shows and don't worry about the complexities of real world japanese communication code?
If either of the two options: you will need some kind of classes or other means of close, rutine contact with actual Japanese native speakers.
If the last option is your goal, I've actually achieved that by A) massive and near constant exposition to Japanese media: shows, games, once you'll learn kana then simple texts. And B) get some basic textbooks. I used to use Minna no Nihogo series. And get a good dictionary that shows Kanji divided into groups by exam standards for Kanji.
As for Kana, I just made myself cards for that.
