Those are not useless, almost none of them are.
You are thinking of very specific game and with very specific game designing routine, while as an example, if you want to go console game dev and wanna touch hardware, you need to know about system architecture which could be considered "useless" if you are strickly talking about "popular" and more "common" methods.
Simply put, learning is never useless and especially in Computing and Informatics / Engineering, and will give you way more options in the future.
There are reasons why they ask you to take thoses classes.
