Well that and if you custom tuned, race AI spiked.

Also, that drag was a gear check. Literally. Opponent cars scale with your car parts relative to the difficulty you start the race at. If it weren't for drag races, you could theoretically beat the game in a stock Miata.

on console that's fine, since there's no OS, Direct X, controller input, or other API's running in the background taking processor cycles, as long as it's a stable 30fps it's fine. PCs require 60fps to make up for all the other shit running in the background.

Looks good, I like that it's all at night and that the cop chases seem pretty easy to escape from as I hate the police thing anyway, mostly excited about the range of shitty cars like the first mustang and the civic and stuff, these are the cars I'll enjoy modding and racing not the ferraris and lambos.

Best part is that there's no stupid forced Hollywood story, you can just skip it and hardly have to do any specific missions that are all about the story, just grind out that rep power and drift around in your primer grey 180SX - bliss

From what I've played, the story isn't that bad, albeit, I only did the first few bits from the closed beta test, but the characters aren't as annoying as the Kelly Brook cardboard cutout from NFSU2.

Im with the people looking forward to the cheaper more common cars.

I much prefer modifying old mustangs and stuff like the R34 or C63 AMG.

I get bored very quickly when the game is just full of stupid hyper cars that they all think we love like 15 year olds. Veyrons, Lambos Zondas etc

I've noticed /v/ adores this game, but it's ultra fucking linear, shittons of filters, riddled with bugs, ultra tideous to control, it has QTEs, Regen health, a trailer by Michael Bay and a OST by Brian Tyler, not to mention the DLC/spec. edition

This game is Battlefield 3/4 if it was a racing game

not a direct offense, but why do you guys like it ?
(I admit it has a pleasent atmosphere at times and the sense of speed is there because the cars are absolutely uncontrollable at higher speeds)

I never really took the time to think about it. It was just something different. The Run is the one of the few games in the series that took place in real locations (USA) and surrounding the game around point-to-point racing was an interesting idea.

they have no idea what to do with the series amd are just trying to replicate most wanted's success. even when they literally called a sequel "most wanted".

ironically I loved The Run and they should have expanded on that. but everything since Carbon has been shit, mostly. I was surprised how unfinished undercover was. and even the recent Hot pursuit was terrible. I didn't even bother with Rivals since that looked like hot pursuit all over again.

and then they have the nerve to have always online DRM? EA can go fuck themselves with that shit. couldn't even play it used after the servers go down.

Dub /3 was the best but L.A. was pretty good too. it felt like a not as good 3 but still fun. story mode was more fleshed out than usual with cutscenes, but its not a huge deal.

before the patch it was much more difficult , so if you love the challenge play it unpatched.

I'd recommend it. I never played the DLC so I'm not sure if it adds anything other than cars and more city.

I actually put together my own custom NFS:U OST with the high quality VBR tracks pulled from each album. only things i couldn't find were the tracks made specifically for the game, so i opted for the highest bitrate rip of the tracks from the games i could find.
