The problem with prebuilt computers is that they

- Use low quality parts
usually mobo and PSU

- Are unoptimized
i7 6700k with a GT 720 4gb

- Are overpriced
$700 in parts $1100 price tag

You could easily make a better pc for your self that would preform much better and cost a lot less.

With steam machines you don't have that option. They are tiny power efficient with custom graphics you can't really build one of those.
