Go fast in Tribes 1 and 2. Go fast in singleplayer in Vengeance after being disappointed by the multiplayer. Wonder why the Earthsiege games aren't fast. Weep for Ascend.

I actually enjoyed Vengeance quite a bit back in the day. The multiplayer demo had quite a lively community long past its expiry date.

Grappling onto those ball shaped aircraft and flying around was tons of fun.

What was the main gripe with Vengeance's multiplayer, anyway? I remember that people found it lacking at the time but I can't remember why.

I don't remember either, tbh. I think it was mostly to do with automated skiing being done by simply pressing shift or whatever.

All of the Tribes games still work on modern computers, to my knowledge. Except for the PS2 one, obviously. The Earthsiege games run fine with dosbox, but I'm not sure how that'll work here since the downloads are for plain disk images.
