It's difficult to quantify because you aren't given a total, but I'd say The Breeding Season has gathered more money than Shovel Knight and so far it's still an unfinished mess, while Shovel Knight was a proper game. Same with Akabur games.
I'd say Kickstarter (and Indiegogo and whatever) are better for single, big projects like video games while Patreon is better for multiple small projects, like illustrations or anything else that can be done within a week or two. Using Patreon to make games just leads to the developers prolonging it as much as possible to make as much money as possible, as they are getting paid by time not by finished projects.
