It barely retains any similarities to past Halo titles.

The campaign is bad, the multiplayer is good for what it is, but it ain't Halo. It also lacks several features that have been default in past Halo games like Infection.

Tbh fam, I quite enjoyed H4. I had high hopes. I was sorely let down after being so heavily vested in the story, lore and universe.

Speaking of framerate, I'm all for having games run at 60 fps, but fuck man, they scrapped splitscreen for that shit.

Not to mention the fucking wonky stuttering animations that play when you are not close to enemies or nps. Or is that just me?

Perfect multiplayer shooter probably the best at the moment. Campaign is 't bad or top short dame length as normal campaign but only 3 missions as master chief and 12 as the bigger Locke. That really sucks. The story is just building up the hype for halo 6.

The forced new characters on Team Osiris suck.

Chiefs team actually has likable characters but it forces you to play as 4 boring, unlikable fuckwads for 90% of the campaign.

How no one at 343 said this is a shit idea is beyond me.

Multiplayer is clean af, easily some of the best in the series. Warzone is fun enough to justify the shit they cut from arena.

As it stands the campaign is pretty bleh, but sets up a premise for 6 that they could really write a fucking kickass campaign for, so if 6's campaign is good 5's will be justified.

Overall, not a Bungie Halo but vastly better than 4 and pleasantly surprising in the quality department, besides some graphical shortcomings as mentioned by >>314877857

I only noticed the stutter in a couple of the bigger draw distance campaign levels though, shit was silky smooth in every MP game i played

They are trying too hard to make things original and nostalgia imo. for example they changed the bungie plasma rifle with the storm rifle also kig-yars/shangheili's looks and now the main characters. They probably want us to remember their creations the same way we do with bungies. Although imo they are failing.

The multiplayer is great, but the campaign is let down by the 4 new jerkoffs it forces you to play as.

Just to be clear here, for you and everyone else:
Only the story department is lacking in the campaign.

Everything else is better than Halo 4 & Halo 3 campaigns.
The level design is awesome, huge fucking open areas, the OST is great, the environments are nice. Sanghelios and Genesis - new forerunner planet are incredibly beautiful.

Guardians was a dry run for a campaign/co-op focused all flood spinoff, motherfucker. think of how cash that shit would be and how hard it would blow L4D/KF/every other zombie co-op game out of the water
