Let's get a strategy game appreciation thread. RTS, turn base, 4x it doesn't matter. What games do you like?
I am hooked on pic related right now. Art style and variety of each race playstyle has me hooked right now.

It really is fun. Every playthrough feels different because of the attributes each race has. Plus it's really easy to get into for people unfamiliar with these types of games.

Age of wonders isn't talked about too much. The combat is tedious and the only win condition is always kill everyone but it's a nice fantasy setting with fun units. Heros are bland and upgrades don't really make you feel more powerful though. Still ok/10

I really did enjoy the variety among the races, even if they did shoehorn you towards certain win conditions.

I just wish each questline didn't end with building the same thing.

Endless legend I always press auto to win because it can get boring but huge battles in AoW take forever. Endless has smaller more manageable battles at least. Neither game hits the nail on the head.

That's the fun part. Nothing better than 6 stacks besieging your fortress city and you triumphing against all odds due to STRATEGY.
