As someone who's never played a STALKER game before, would /v/ recommend getting shadow of chernobyl or call of pripyat?

I know how I sound when I say this, but are there any similar games you can compare it to?

If you can only get one then I would recommend shadow of Chernobyl. It has less features being the first game but it just feels bigger. If you can get both then do it, just play the first one first, and the 3rd game 2nd
