i'm starting to agree with infiltration when he said during the last beta that the big problem with this game is that it's 100% neutral and hardly anything is positive, so you can't really jostle for advantage, ever.

I think it's actually possible for SFV to kill fighting games if a significant Japanese presence doesn't hop on.

Speaking of which, what is the most popular fighitng game in Japan? It's certainly not Street Fighter if they keep getting Americans to design it.

the problem is that they are 3 ways to wakeup, and people haven't put adequate enough time to craft a way to respond

you do different things depending if they quickrise/roll/slow wakeup

in the beta I assumed people would quickrise and just dashed in and CC'd/sweep/grab accordingly
