On the ship stats panel, you can click on the arrows to show more detailed statistics, like specific number and type of guns, hitpoints, concealment values, etc. On some of those, there's a little camera icon. Click on it, and it will zoom you to the respective gun. Click on it again, and it will cycle through all of the same-type guns on the ship. Click on the camera icon on the hitpoint stats to go back to full view.

As the CVnt in the picture. The Hakuryu isn't bad. Its just that people in the Hak see the Midway and want it to play like a Midway when in fact that Hakuryu plays much different.
The Hakuryu is a versatile jack of all trades that can pull easily over 100k+ damage while running it's full fighter loadout.
The Hakuryu trades survival power and AA power for having more planes in the air, much lower detection rating and loadouts that can completely shut down Midways.
Most of time, people play them in correctly and do everything wrong, like the Hakuryu in pic related. Didn't move from spawn, had no AA protection. Moved all it's fighters from providing CAP and just had them escort the bombers and ontop of the the friendly cruiser did nothing to save it.

This too. Hakuryu literally gets a free fucking squadron out of god damn now where but its not good enough for them. Most of them are just plain bad. Keep in mind the majority of Hakuryu players are the ones who saw IJN CV OP in CBT and early OBT and rushed ahead like every other retard that I had to deal with. Now the ship is Midway with "OMG MIDWAY OP." The exact same fucking thing. Retards are rushing ahead because they see something that is OP is the right hands and want to be like the, but get a harsh reality call when they go against competent players.

If this is the final nail in the coffin and US CVs are infact nerfed into just being flat out inferior to IJN CVs, there will be absolutely no reason to play US CVs.
By the way IJN CVs got their circle changed back.
Call me a whiner/CVnt but whatever. If this goes live and US CVs are unplayable, well expect nothing but Hakuryus and Taihos. I'm probably gonna try them for myself once the server goes live and its probably going to leave a bad after taste in my mouth.

The AA cover or your offer?

You could probably get an AA rating of about 30 with all the captain skills, but you don't get the AA barrage power up so it's not particularly useful, sorry.

Is ocean bad because pubs are inherently uncoordinated or because of the mechanics of the game?

I think it's because 24 randomly assembled people just aren't going to work together the way a real fleet in open waters would. Oceans could be a fun map with organized play.

anon you have 26.6km range with 700something speed shells. You not only arent going to have many things at all to shoot at outside of that range, but you won't be able ot lead the shots worth shit. Even if you used the aim assist to help you lead, the hang time of the shells is so insanely long at that range (>20sec) that someone only has to make a small course correction and you miss by a mile.

Rate of fire or bust. The turret travser skill for the captain helps make up the loss of speed.
