>>120068824>but frost mages and such always burst down things before I can set upThis is hard to imagine. If anything, Destro is the class that prevents other classes from setting up on the adds for fights like Kilrogg and Gorefiend since Chaos Bolt is one of the hardest hitting spells across all classes and Shadowburn is on par with Arcane Blast while being an instant cast that costs literally nothing and has no cooldown when used to pick off adds. FoF Ice Lances shouldn't be able to execute and add from over 20% to 0%. If you have Hunters and Shadow Priests executing as well, you should have the upper hand since Shadowburn is more efficient and hits harder than their executes when it comes to adds.
>Should I just take afflic to everything and swap between Soulburn: Haunt and Doomguard depending on the fight? No.
You should go Destro for Assault, Kilrogg, Gorefiend (Aff if your guild is 100% good with adds without you), Iskar, Socrethar, Xhul'horac, and Archimonde. Go Aff for Iron Reaver, Council, Zakuun, Tyrant, and Archimonde if your guild needs extra single target damage as opposed to add damage. Demo is currently the retarded half brother spec but it is literally the top spec for Kormrok and Mythic Mannoroth with the legendary ring combined with its burst AOE. On top of that, your AOE on those two fights can't really be considered just padding anymore, since the ring will blow the fuck up on the boss for millions of damage after AOEing. And the imps on Mannoroth REALLY need to get the fuck out.
Your Shadowburn troubles are just something that you'll have to work out because Aff's high single target can't make up for what Destro does in fights with cleave/AOE. It's helps a lot to have a stopcasting Shadowburn macro and a mouseover stopcasting Shadowburn macro at the same time. Remember that if you're going to be Shadowburning, 3 Havoc'd SBs is better than 1 Havoc'd CB.
Are you US? What's your btag, anon. I can help you out a bit more.
