a)no active damage mitigation
b)dogshit scaling
c)no reason to use left hand attack ever just like in vanilla

I already got rid of entire pickpocket tree that i never used except for madesi ring

Instead i put there perks that give me damage for fists scaling with max and current stamina, slowtime for enemy power attacks when i wear no armor and have both hands free, knockdown in aoe, aoe attacks and whatnot.

This doesnt even stop me from going heavy armor + unarmed + resto or light armor sneak.

what you gave me is doable in ck within 2 hour of work for inexperienced shitter like me

I was looking through tesgeneral's ENB guide as I wrote that post. I don't feel the screenshots for the ENBs it says are colorful don't do a proper job at it, as I'd have hopped to it rather than have just asked.

Nope, that would near impossible for skyrim to load all the interior cells and exterior cells with npcs, clutter, etc. There are house mods that are all 'open' as in you can walk in and live in the house with no load screens, but those are fps killers.

I like how if I'm in a dark corner with no light, NPC's still have a chance at seeing me if they look in my direction for long enough

sneaking during the day is difficult because NPCs have a huge line of sight, but can;'t really hear for shit because people are always moving about during the day

enemy sight buff, enemy hearing nerfed

during the night, people can;t see very well without a light source but since they aren't looking, they ARE listening

enemy sight nerfed, enemy hearing buffed

dusk and dawn hours are small but offer a mix of both worlds

And that's why I don't even bother to try playing evil characters anymore. I've gotten to the point where I don't go to Riften, Markarth, Windhelm or Solitude anymore because I hate everyone there and I can't fucking kill them.
The Rift and the Reach suck dick anyway and it's not like there's anything at all in Solitude or Windhelm so it works out.

This is the mod that I disabled that I can't continue without, but it was one of a few suspects I have that are making me want to disable some things in the first place.

Allow me to describe my situation in some more detail. My game chugs universally, though less frequently when alone in the forest, and more frequently around enemies, especially human bandits. The game locks up for a second the moment they're about to drop dead, and then continues. However, while it's highly likely it's another mod, I have no idea which one. Maybe it might be AnyWeaponMod, it might be Heavy Armory, but really I don't have a shitload of combat mods enabled that I would suspect of fucking my game up to this degree.

Saturation Boost doesn't really affect performance as far as I can tell.
Do you have Enhanced Blood? That can cause a lot of chugging when getting next to NPCs. You can dampen it by increasing the interval at which scripts are applied, in the MCM menu.
As for the insta CTD on load, try coc elsweyr from the main menu before loading your save. You can't do this if you're using Immersive Citizens.

Looked into it with TES5edit, apparently it only changes weather settings to increase saturation. Try saving in an interior before removing. But as the other anon said, i doubt it's affecting your performance and the drop is caused by something affecting actors/NPCs.

Not sure what the major malfunction is. Not a lot of them seem to majorly affect anything. Like I said, if it's not the saturation thing, my next best guess is one of the weapon mods that makes people use lutes and shit as weapons instead of actual weapons or the heavy armory, or one of the hair mods. If there's something else, I must be glossing over it or don't see the connection.

They will look fine, it's just saying they were made with ECE. Just like when you install a follower who wears a particular armor, you don't actually need to find the armor mod first so that the follower's armor will show up. It's all packaged.

Thanks, I found a tool for converting ECE to RM or something but I have no idea how well it works. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places but most of the followers that caught my eye, if not all of them are made in ECE. I've never seen RM waifus uploaded on Nexus.

Not that that's a problem since you guys solved my worries, but I'm rather curious to why that's the case. Is it because ECE has been out longer and people aren't used to using RM to make faces? Or is there some other reason?

Like if I was trying to sculpt my own faces, would people recommend me to do it in ECE first and convert to RM because of whatever reasons?

No, ECE and RM are basically two different software that do the exact same thing, with differences. ECE had a Vertex Edit menu on the character creation/showracemenu screen, and that allows you to select each and every individual vertex on the head and move it around in a 3D space. Racemenu has the same thing, but it also has smoothing functions and such, that target larger areas of vertices you don't have to do it all one-by-one.
They can both do the exact same thing, it's just that RM is a little more convenient.

It's generally not advised to make a face in ECE and convert it to RM.

That makes no sense really. Just use what you like more and don't be too focused on sculpting.
That should be used to fix little things and not do the main work. Otherwise you risk breaking things like mfg.

Color me puzzled.

Hate to treat this thread as tech support, but I'm getting CTDs but I have no idea what's causing it. I tried to download as few as possible but still somehow ended up with 75+ active plugins.

Loot doesn't give me any errors or warnings, and even with those 75 mods most of them add items or quest markers.

The crashes are very consistent. It crashes ONLY when exiting The Ragged Flagon into the Ratway, but entering The Ragged Flagon from the Ratway works fine.

Sometimes it'll crash randomly on the field but I'll reload and it'll be fine.

And I'm trying to the Vaermina daedric quest, but when I take the Dreamstride potion, right after I activate the Miasma, I CTD consistently.

Two possibilities I can come up with is that my computers' so shit that it can't handle 75+ active plugins, even though most of that just adds items or replaces their textures, or that the very few better visual mods I have might cause it.

LOOT's giving me the thumbs up, though. No warnings or errors.

The only graphic changing mods I have are the no more blocky faces, enhanced blood textures, pure waters, 2k textures, brighter auroras and the Ruffled Feather mods, but I believe the only one I have activated out of those is the smaller flora.

The rest simply add items or perks and change a few NPCs.

Yes it does, but it's horribly implemented and impractical, and may as well not be bothered with. RM's functions are intuitive and have less risk of affecting areas you don't want. Plus it has more options than simply "smoothing". Don't get me wrong, I've used it before, but I've always found that working vertex-by-vertex is the only way to get what I want done right without backtracking to fix a previous step.

Absolutely not, Vertex Area is very useful and convenient versus having "to do it all one-by-one" as you described it. Can you tell me what isn't intuitive about it when the name of the slider itself very blatantly indicates its sole function, and that all it requires is a single click?

As my first guess i would try disabling "earlier health warnings", i remember having a mod for floating healthbars that gave me CTDs. Otherwise i'd look at anything that might affect human NPCs, especially the brand that affects you the most. Now I'm no tech wiz, but considering dying NPCs affect you the hardest, it might be script-related, so you could try disabling stuff like AchieveThat and Cannibalism.

They arent, most of his characters are iterations. Loli Vinella, Vinella, Dark Vinella and so on. Even his elves have the same facial structure. All he does is change the hair color and eye color and gives them a "theme" but the face is the same.

Some sliders modify way more than what they state because all the triangles are connected. It's not unusual to change something and find it's messed up something else. Your best bet is to fix that with sculpt.

The similarities are a natural byproduct of using the same skin textures and normals for all my characters. Regarding facial feature shapes and orientation, the nose, eyes, eyebrows, jaw/cheek shape, are all different than Vinella. The texture is the only reason the similarity exists.

As far as notable criticisms go, her eyes are just small, high and tilted outward enough that it looks like her parents may have been cousins, and her eyebrows look super worried. Your character's expression without MFG should be as neutral as possible.

Another hilarious thing that like 10 people got on my case about, I don't know if you remember. I made a few minor adjustments to Vinella's face, just to smooth it out. i ALSO changed her hairstyle, and removed the scars. People went apeshit on me about it, saying I fucked her up and changed her face so much that it didn't even look like her anymore.
Lo and behold after taking another picture with the old hair and scars, with the new facial edits, suddenly people were like, "Oh."

I have no problem owning that two of my characters have almost the exact same face but recoloured and with a couple of values tweaked, because it's true, I literally took Amanassi's ECE slot and edited it to make Esmerelda.

Of course a lot of the sameface effect comes from people having the same textures/base meshes for all of their characters and having certain preferences in regard to proportions that further reinforce it. Like I can't be arsed to tell Mearas' characters apart because the skaal girl is the only one I like, but despite being samefacey at a glance, they all have different features and bone structures when you look closely, just the same textures. And he's the worst about sameface in /tesg/ next to you :^)

If you have trouble with that it might be a good idea to use a model or find a guideline to "ideal" proportions. Unless the issue is actually manipulating those proportions in Racemenu without badly distorting the mouthshape or something weird. Not a problem I've had in ECE but I haven't used Racemenu since before it had sculpt so idk.

The whole sameface talk is meh anyways. Making characters over hundreds of hours has the same effect as drawing, you develop your own style. Certain facial features, Textures, flaws, all these things are easy recognizable at some point and people cant get rid of them.

As example, Eiries characters dont really have sameface. But even if he changed his ENB and textures, you would immediately know its one of his characters, even if its just a shot in the racemenu. Applies to everyone btw.

i have 10 out of 14 perks done and working from unarmed tree which is SPERG pickpocket tree remake.

Some kind of bonus, maybe attack speed increase, when attacking people from the side.
(Almost?) guaranteed disarm when attacking people from the side (this would be a child of the other disarm you already have)
Reduced damage while jumping. Not fall damage, from blows. Some kind of acrobatics. Or maybe rng dodge.

I'm playing with ordinator and apocalypse spells and focusing on illusion (have always played melee/paladin characters). Is illusion basically just calm/frenzy/fear (I haven't found fear spell yet)? I feel like I'm not rusing npcs hard enough or something.

Neat looking mod, I like the slowtime into roundhouse kick. Can't do much for making Skyrim's combat play better so you might as well make it look better I suppose.

Some opinions/things to note from my experience though:

This is a good idea but increasing player movement speed in Skyrim often looks really silly, even boosting it by like 20% can give you a sort of benny hill effect. I don't know what it is about Skyrim's animations that makes them more prone to that than other games' or even Oblivion's (but at least it isn't as bad as Morrowind's).
>RNG evasion when you have no armor
I'm not really a fan of this kind of thing but it's already in the vanilla armour trees' perks and I think most perk mods too so I can't really complain too hard. It'd be cooler if you could add a manual evade with iframes increased when unarmoured. Dunno if iframes are possible or at least feasible for you in Skyrim's engine though.

Not a fan of this either, or anything involving all-or-nothing RNG that doesn't require player input really. If it was a chance on blocking with bare hands it wouldn't bother me as much though.

As for autoperks, perhaps a large amount of bonus damage (or an outright high chance to KO) on unarmed sneak crit similar to the dagger throat slit, and increased jump height when unarmoured so you can clear fences if you need to flee? Don't have ideas for optional perks off the top of my head.

Take that all with a grain of salt though, I probably won't use it. In fact I've been toying with the idea of making my own mod that more or less removes direct combat in favour of a comfier playstyle that puts the stress on preparation and strategy for a while.

What are you even aiming for ? Generally speaking, you should remove the Hairs and start over. Keep the character bald until you finish it.

And when you do that, work at single parts. Start with the headshape. Jaw, cheeks and chin.
Then go for either mouth or brows. Do eyes and nose last, you will adjust the nose to your characters mouth.

After you have done this, check the characters profile view and fix that. Then you add hairs.

Perma has half the Illusion tree dedicated to Illusions and Phantoms, the other half to mindcontrol shit.
use Apocalypse, lost Grimoire and Forgotten magic. Those will give your Illusion more fun.

Somewhat related, in Oblivion you could grab arrows out of the air, I don't think you can in Skyrim though since the projectile is a different object that turns into an arrow on collision.

Some mod, I believe Apocalypse, lets you summon corpses that you subsequently raise using necromancy spells. You could do something similar with the deathguard probably, just summon a dead one and then raise it.
