A child falls in love with a monster kid.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a sans ex machina with the kid's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that the kid has a crush on them as well.

But, the next day, when they recounts the previous day's confessions to the kid, it only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, they find out that the kid they called is not the same kid they fell in love with. In fact, that kid doesn't exist in this universe at all. It is the kid's genocide universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the child's own murderer self, who too is blissfully unaware of kid's crush (and existence).

Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the LOVE whose very NATURE is shrouded in darkness.

The proportions are off, especially on their limbs, it looks flat and you're symbol drawing, aka drawing how you think it's supposed to look, not how it's actually supposed to look.

Honestly I don't like edgy demon Chara, but I do like Chara just being a kid, even if they're possibly sociopathic/traumatized, hanging out with his adoptive brother. I prefer the idea Chara was just incapable of sympathy, or had an incredibly hard time of feeling that stuff. It's more interesting to me and lets there be the possibility that Asriel and Chara actually got along somewhat as much as Asriel says they did.

I'd suggest practicing 'classical' drawing a lot. It might not interest you and it's honestly kind of boring, but it's by far the best method to learn because it teaches you all the basic (basic might not be appropriate, a better term is universal) skills you need no matter what style you draw with. As a general rule of thumb if you draw stylised stuff without knowing classical first, you're gonna have a bad time.

The problem is that the dialogue only has an impact if it was YOUR choice to do it. It's very greatly diminished if everyone told you to do it, because it just becomes "oh so that's what they wanted me to see". The choice became someone else's and you get disconnected from it all.

And "my most vulnerable, and to think I thought you wouldn't fit in" still holds a far weaker impact than "you really hate me that much? I see, I wasn't protecting you, but everyone else". I'm disappointed that Joel got egged into doing the betrayal kill, you could tell that it didn't have much impact on him.

I've tried doing a mini-genocide on the demo but the last encounters were a pain in the butt to find.
Does the main game also has such a low encounter rate when you approach 0 encounters left? Because I'm starting to find less exciting to do a genocide run for that very reason.

Toriel is for people with massive Oedipus complexes (and Toby himself said something to that effect, or rather, joked that the character was sure to awaken many people to an interest in MILFs), Undyne is a fit chick, Alphys is a bumbling stuttering low-self-esteem type, Mettaton's humanoid forms are literally designed to ooze sex appeal.

And out of all of that, it's the damn skeletons. Also the only creatures with no obvious or implied means of having sex.

Play as a monster during the human wars
You can use determination despite being a monster (like Undyne) but not enough to save/load
However it destroys your body
Not sure how this would translate ingame, maybe if you die you don't get a game over but you get more and more amalgamatey you get unless you completely reset the game

Speaking of spooks and weirdness, I bumped into an NPC in Waterfall today who told me to make friends with his neighbor Suzy. "Suzy" was in yellow, and the NPC said he came from the city. He follows up with, "Don't know where I live? It doesn't matter, fate finds a way."

It's an NPC that shows up due to the "fun" value, since you can't get this guy by triggering something obvious.

Has anyone ever run into an NPC named "Suzy"?

There is the theory that Gaster is the skelebros' dad. If his death was early enough that Sans was old enough to comprehend it but Papyrus was still a baby, that would probably leave Sans with a lot of issues.

This is the thing about the "fun" value characters. People don't even know how the fun value works yet, so there winds up being confusion about cause and effect. I read beating Sans then resetting triggers the gray NPCs, for example, but it seems that's not necessarily true. Likewise, I've beaten Undyne numerous times and this is the first time this guy has shown up, and it's before the fight with Undyne.

Really? Did you actually fix the fun value by changing it to "Fun" instead of "fun"? Because fun events literally CANNOT happen if that isn't the case.
Also, beating sans then resetting is the only non-broken "Fun" change, but it actually uses a capital F to change the value instead of a lowercase one.

Toby telling people that "fun" values don't work without ini editing is total bullshit. He's intentionally lying. I haven't touched my game files and I'm running into "fun" stuff perfectly fine. I know I'm not the only one either, because I keep seeing confused responses to assertions about the fun values where people say they found the gray NPCs or other events through normal playthroughs.

I don't know why the data miners have to capitalize the 'f' in "fun" to make anything work.

The wiki lists a bunch of events which are dependent on the fun variable. You can get a phone call asking for "G- sorry, wrong number!" for example. I got that on my first playthrough, doing pacifist, and on a genocide run. I haven't sold Frisk's soul yet and don't intend to - don't know if that makes a difference.

It says the fun values need to be a specific number to get this stuff and that "fun" needs to be changed to "Fun" to work, but myself and others are finding these events naturally without editing.

I'm just flat convinced Toby lied about it and there's some other internal tracker thing he's keeping quiet.

Chara isn't evil, they just became aware of the game and the fact that they're just your avatar in every game you play. As for the soul takeover thing, you're giving them Frisk's soul and controlling Chara directly after that. Frisk is totally gone and Chara is second only to you in control until the ending moments since you can't actually play after that point.

What do you guys think of the Underfell AU stuff?

There's a lot more of it since the last time I checked, and it's developed from edgy palette swaps to a pretty cute idea, imo. Toriel being a more manipulative, clingy helicopter mom, Papyrus trying and failing to be the best bad guy he can be, Flowey being genuinely helpful and kind, etc., all cute.

I'm a huge sucker for stories where villains convert to good guys, though.

I don't think Chara was a 100% evil demon asshole slayer kid because they were on good terms with Asriel. I don't see why Chara wouldn't just waste it's village and then go back as promised, especially if the popular theory of the being abused to fuck there is right.
They'd get their revenge and be able to help Asriel free his people.

The monsters have the negative aspects of their personalities amplified a bit, sometimes their relationships are flipped (I've seen a lot of Sans being an asshole to Papyrus while Papyrus desperately tries to prove how evil he is to impress him), and they're more actively trying to hurt Frisk. Flowey is a helpful support character, sometimes people make Asriel evil.

Frisk still tries to befriend them all.

Nothing amazing but it's got some cute art.

That way, you see the entire content, sans telling you that you travel through time makes sense, and it has the best ending which also leaves Chara free into the world, making the story worth continuing.

Chara says that the player awoke them when they called their name.
That whole "The demon that appears when YOU call it's name" line was referring to the player naming a character and then destroying everything in sight and doing everything just because. And Chara obviously wouldn't include wanting to murder his village in the plan because Asriel would be too much of a pussy to do it.
So Chara brought his body to the village to try and force Asriel to do it but instead of defending himself, he decided to just waste Chara's sacrifice and die.

Basically there's a variable in the save data called "Fun". This variable was meant to trigger certain events at different values when you went to certain rooms in the game, some of which talk about a person called "W. D. Gaster", who is stated to be the previous royal scientist. Toby fucked up and typo'd the variable, so the events are completely disabled unless you alter the save data. He's essentially accidentally dummied out, and we don't know what relevance he has on the plot.

Wait for the patch.
