The count (probably ~ five minutes from the initial attempts to test it) starts after the buff is consumed, but lowers your rate if the item is used before that count is up. Best practice is to use one right before a boss fight, not at beginning of a strike.

First time using the LFG website and it seems like people are pretty cutthroat with their requirements, some already asking for 310+ even though Hard Mode has been out a day and people were doing Normal Mode just fine before 310+.

What's your current set up? In all honest a good sniper is all you'll need, but since it's your first run then you should definitely bring a good HMG. Baron's Ambition or Ruin Wake are perfectly fine, the NM one will suffice too. You'll replace those once you get Terminus, but till then they'll cut it

Probably the number one thing Bungie did to drive players away was make older endgame content completely irrelevant.

I understand the broken-ass guns. But what possible reason could there be to prevent me from wearing old arnour I thought was cool? I wanna use dead Vex husks as armour. I wanna rip the old plating off the Hive and graft it to my own armour. I even wanna use old shitty Fallen armour that looks like the Iron Giant vomited all over me.

What's wrong with that? Removing things from your game is never the answer.

After the group stuns Oryx don't send everyone to blights right away. The group can stay in the brand and kill adds and then when the majority of adds are gone you then send everyone to their blights. You have up to 30 seconds or so to kill adds, it takes less then 10 for the group to do it. Relic holder must keep shooting oryx to keep his chest open during it.
This works wonders and eliminates blight deaths.

I probably wouldn't even comment on it if the entire Fallout community wasn't like "OMG THAT DOG LOOKS SO REAL" when it really just looked like PS2 hardware was running it and being animated by someone who has only seen animatronic animals. I'm serious. The dog that people were making fun of in CoD those years ago looks more realistic than this trailer.

You have to admit that their character creator could do nothing to make an even remotely attractive looking character male OR female. It's like how FROMsoft can only make animu weeb looking humans that somehow always end up looking like a descendant of Ryan Gosling if you actually try to make a human. Bethesda makes Neanderthals look pretty.

Also please understand I do development stuff on the art side of things for people like modeling/concepts/SOMETIMES animations, so that's why I'm such an ass about their quality. I'm also not saying I'm amazing by any means, but I'd expect better out of something with that much of a hype train and budget behind it.

Oryx is flawed and tedious but they're starting to make real raid bosses atleast

They shoulda had sisters been a -you have to kill them both same time or enrage- type of deal, split the fireteam up in 2 groups of 3 and each group has to Take care of their sister, they randomly choose one of the 3 closest characters to "take" and when you're taken your shots heal one priest but Crits the other, so people have to swap around and shit

this is from reddit:

"If you completed normal this week, you can still get loot from the Totems chest and from the Daughters chest in Hard Mode. When you completed normal you took the shards out and the chance at normal raid items. That's it.

For example you just looted Daughters in Hard Mode and got nothing. This is what happened.

Moldering Shards are gone, you took them in normal.
No class item rating from 300-310, you used your roll in normal.
No shotgun rating from 300-310, you used your roll in normal.
No Harrowed Class item, sorry RNG gave you nothing, you didn't get shards neither, because those are gone already.
No Harrowed Shotgun for the same reason as the harrowed class item.
This occurred in Normal all the time, but you got just shards. You aren't getting the shards in Hard Mode because you took them already in normal.

TLDR; You got nothing from the Totems chest and the Daughters chest because you missed a loot roll, not because you were ineligible from normal."

The 3 platforms that are actually used should be killing their Knight before they hop off, the 2 floaters kill the last Knight while the other 4 focus down the Vessel.

All Knights should be dead just before Oryx opens up if you do it correctly.

Unload everything on the first ogre that spawns. If its next to my platform, I use Quellims Terminus and Fusion Grenades. If its across from me, 314 Black Spindle. Immediately reload sniper, and as you're reloading turn towards the pool where the knight spawns and headshot him twice as hes emerging (you can damage him before hes all the way out). By this time, the person on the platform across from you probably has the ogre down to half. Help him kill it, then repeat. Load sniper, turn and double headshot before the second knight gets out. My runner gets the relic in like 10 seconds, and Ive been able to kill both knights every attempt before he dunks on the vessel. You can even headshot knights through the fog of the spawning acolytes, you just have to get the height of his head right by estimation.

Another tactic our group found useful was the 3+1 rule for ogres. Our team could take out 3 & knights comfortably every time, so we always left the fourth one until we stunned Oryx. Then, everyone can focus on the last ogre while invulnerable, and then can go detonate all four bombs every round. Helps if the teams weapons arent high enough light.

How did your team deal with them? stains group earlier was having the same issue with the Knights but their spawn seems kinda funky, not to mention if you do shoot them they tend to run in a weird pattern.

The knights spawn diagonally from the ogre that they're linked to. So killing the ogre next to your platform spawns the knight next to the platform in front of you. Double headshot/one SS shot kills them. They aren't that hard.

We had Cat dealing with the 2 knights that spawn at the back, the front 2 people and the free agent would focus on the front 2, if cat couldn't get one of his he would call it out and the other guy with him would take care of it.

Like I said, SS is extremely viable in this fight, purely because it destroys knights and 2 shots can stun Oryx.

He has a sniper that literally reloads within a second, according to him it completely out does DPS compared to black spindle alongside Sleeper Simulant. During the fight Corbinek also stuck with ToM because he would be one of the ad clearers and that meant he would stay in my bubble taking clear of ads while everyone else went and detonated orbs.

I'm pretty sure it's tied to the specific armour pieces.

I mean, you can scum it by (for example say you have these pieces) transferring your Warlock helm and hunter gloves onto your titan who has the chest and boots.

As long as you have all 4 pieces at least in your inventory it will unlock.

Our team had some stops and starts but we were at Oryx before broman was at deathsingers. We just literally couldn't DPS enough and none of us had enough gamer fuel left to drag out the alts for a run. Pretty shitty, but here's hoping for next week. At the very least the rewards seem decent.
