Yesterday I went to the bowling alley/arcade that's close to my parents' place and I tried to examine the cabs more closely now that I play on stick.

I wonder what kind of strange parts those cabs were using. Did Virtua FIghter 3 cab use sanwa parts? Were VF3 era sanwa parts even the same anyway? The buttons felt pretty good compared to the kuros (though the kuros still work).

The stick though was pretty shit and I'm not sure how cabs work but I don't know it that's original/normal. It was like some weird mountain with a small stick on top. Kinda hard to explain, like the stick was planted on a conic platform. Very weird. The metal slug machine had the same kind of buttons/stick.

Anyone more experienced on cabs knows anything about this?

SFV beta is awfully exciting so far, 4 hours time in game and I haven't gotten past the menu yet. Takes a hundred tries to get me into it without disconnecting, then it immediately disconnects the second I press ranked, every single time. What a fucking pile of shit. I'm done, fuck it.

my opinion of it dropped a bit around the time of the ken and vega builds because the damage was being lowered and jabs were being made shit but i'm back to excited again because they added two mechanics that i really like: crush counters on blocked dps and v-meter build on crush counters

I don't know if I am too good with Necalli or it's just the character being easy as fuck.

I reached Rank 26 with this guy, I learned tons of shit with the character and I have even beaten probably one of the best Necalli players at the moment (can't remember his nick, but he was Rank 2 worldwide). Decided to try Vega. I end up sucking a bit with the guy. Not sure what to blame, myself or the fact I am used to Necalli's playstyle.

I still love the character though

USFIV had stupid complexity. ST was simple but everything worked perfectly, throws did their job correctly, each character was unique and every matchup was a different strategy. Alpha 2 also was pretty simple but really nice.

As much as I've been playing SFV it really does feel like 90% of my matches have been "He gets hit, now I get hit, now we're both mashing normals that aren't even good in this game."

There are more than two wake-up options, but if you're shit/retarded you don't realize it
There are a huge amount of options, but they're for different scenarios
There's more to waking up than block/reversal if you're not fucking stupid. You CAN wake up and hit buttons, you CAN wake up, walk up, and throw them, but it all depends on what you think they are going to do. Blocking is the safest option, but what if they throw?
What if they think you are going to DP? You can gain the offensive if you read their bait. Granted, blocking is generally the safest option, but if they grab you and you don't tech it you're fucked. What if they bait for a few frames, walk up and throw? What if they walk up, bait your throw tech, and DP instead?
idk where else to go with this but you should get the idea

This is the closest thing I was able to find, the sticks looked like that except on top of the base there was a mini stick that was kinda separed from the base by another circular base. I feel like Chris Hu trying to explain the DHC glitch.

cr mp xx light berserker is as good as you can get at certain ranges, like punishing unsafe normals such as sweep

st mk, cr mp xx light berserker is a slightly faster one than the cr hp but obviously less damage

Should I be able to run SF5 when its released, or is it time for an upgrade? It looks like its not optimized well right now for PC, and has no GPU driver support. After I installed the new GPU driver for MGS5, the game ran smooth on high.

Except Quadro chipsets are pretty close to GeForce ones. There were even a whole set of chipsets that WERE rebranded GeForces and the only difference were the drivers even though they cost $100s more

Today Quadro cards usually offer increased performance for 64-bit precision but in general they are a complete and utter waste for 99% of the CAD people do. Its a scam where the CAD companies use Quadro chipsets as a baseline to certify their products against

The same shit goes for FireGL or whatever the fuck the AMD version was called

I've downloaded the ALI213 torrent and then I also tried applying the crack that was on the site, but it either downloads the update then can't connect to the servers, or it gets in an endless loop of failing to download the update and then not letting me get into training mode.
