Energy weapons already seem to have quite a bit of variance in them. Kinetic weapons probably have similar changes as well when you rechamber them and alter their actions, but I suspect they won't be as varied.

I think I'm going to genuinely enjoy the game, Bethesda writing or not, but I sure as shit am not going to enjoy the paid mods.

Has beth made a statement on paid mods from fo4 yet or what, because I'm fairly certain they're attempting to use fo4 as something to push their own personal distribution/online platform which only solidifies the suspicion that they're gonna try to push for paid mods again.

Gameworks is Nvidia specific code that is bribed/forced upon developers that utilises the strength of their most current gen technology to the detriment of their older generations and competition.
Gameworks code can NOT be turned off and more importantly, can NOT be turned down on Nvidia systems.
You know about the Witcher 3 running like dogshit on 780's compared to the 960? Gameworks code did that.

780 should be stronger than the 960, but because the 960 is good at tessellation and the 7xx series isn't, they made hair be x64 tessellated.

GAMEWORKS IS A CANCER UPON THE INDUSTRY.

Can't tell without seeing any source code, unfortunately. I'm going to say no though, because of three reasons.
1. WCCFTech is a fucking shit, unreliable, shit shit shit SHIT source for ANYTHING.
They are literally subhumans who crawl forums and tech sites for ANY HINT of a rumour and call it fact. This has been PROVEN time and time again.
2. Its too late. Adding code at this point of the process would never happen because of the potential to fuck shit up. If Bethesda was stupid enough to risk it, it'd be 100% that there would be some unknown issues with how it works next to the rest of the code and there wouldn't have been enough time to fully QA that code.
3. Nobody implements something like that post-release, nobody. It'd be fucking stupid to do something like bringing in new code to an already released game that affects such a fundamental level -- with the exception of early access games, of course.

Gameworks is literally just things like hairworks and other middelware. That will never be required unless the game is retarded and makes it required (which W3 didn't). Those features such as Hairworks can be turned off.

Actually, you're wrong about the hardware.
AMD has the better hardware, its the drivers that always let AMD down. Nvidia has superior DX11 drivers, 100% hands down. I say that despite owning a Fury X.
AMD hardware is superior, however.

Weapons from old games you would like to see back? I know Bethesda did not bring many designs from 1&2 into 3, but if they would do it in Fallout 4 like Obsidian did with Plasma Defender/Plasma Caster in NV, which ones would you want to see the most?

And Harkness ate, drank and slept yes. However he did not do drugs and we did not have him as our POV. He had to eat and drink because his skin was alive and still needed nutrients. There are about a billion things that would not work if the PC was a Synth.

I don't think it's likely, either, but I'm not going to entirely dismiss the possibility of the PC being a synth. All of that shit has been proven though, especially the shit about Nvidia crippling older cards via updates to make an 'upgrade' more enticing, as well as doing shit to intentionally cripple performance AMD cards on games where they dipped their greasy fingers into (see Crysis 2 for a great example, some shit is massively over tesselated for the sole purpose of overtaxing AMD cards which couldnt into heavy tesselation back then)

Of course AMD is guilty of this shit too (colluding with Valve to make the FX series of Nvidia cards more or less completely unable to run HL2 in DX9 at playable framerates with weird shader implementation designed solely to fuck those cards over, equivalent budget AMD cards of course had no issue)

It's not a matter of Nvidia vs AMD but just toxic business practices all around.

there's going to be three types of damage in fallout 4

ballistic (bullets), energy (laser, etc), and radiation (radioactive enemies, nukes, etc)

defending against each of those has a different picture

a shield for armor, defending against ballistic

a lightning bolt for energy resistance, defending against energy

a radioactive symbol for rad resistance, defending against radiation

different weapons will also deal different amounts of the above

christ this news is as old as the e3 announcement god damn

From what I can remember, he was in charge of Van Buren and there was a Legion-aligned female Bounty Hunter ... also a Legion spy that had infiltrated a group of Tribal raiders and was trying to make them sympathetic to the Legion's cause to get them absorbed into their ranks.

I guess that depends on whether or not you want the DLC.

Operation Anchorage is incredibly boring, but its lore may end up being significant to Fallout 4 if the SS really is a veteran of that mission. You wouldn't miss much by just watching a YouTube LP, though.

Broken Steel fixes the terrible ending (allowing you to play afterward), raises the level cap, introduces some new quests, and adds some redonkulus end-game enemies (which will be the only things that can hurt you at that point). You might as well pick that up, unless you want to get Fallout 3 over with as soon as possible.

The Pitt is considered by many to be the best material Bethesda ever published for Fallout 3, with an impressively immersive environment and a legitimately tough moral choice.

Point Lookout is a major change of venue, wherein you run around a cloudy bog and fight tribals and degenerate yokels. Generally considered good, though kind of removed from the rest of canon.

Mothership Zeta is just awful. Even if you pick up the GOTY version, I recommend you skip it unless you're really enamored with Fallout 3's combat, because all it is is running around shooting ball-busting enemies.

In Shelter, why isn't there an option to remove a dweller from an area?
I have a majority of my dwellers in training rooms, and when a dweller reaches max level, I don't have any other place to place them, so I put them in the dwellers rooms, however, whenever I place them in the room, a dweller already in the room runs to the training room to replace them. But the thing is, that new dweller going to the training room has already been trained in that special, so I have to keep shifting people around, which is annoying.

I wish there was an easy way around this feature.

I just want to remove people from rooms without having to remove them from the vault completely and bringing them back in.

It looks like the original ones from Fallout 1/2.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas jumpsuits were from the concept art for Fallout 1, but the sprites and ending shows the jumpsuits to be much tighter.

Yeah, I know. If FO4 still runs decently I'll just deal with it. I had a friend help me build this PC, I know how to install memory cards, hard drives, and video cards, but don't really know how to install CPUs...I also don't wanna spend hundreds on a part that I'd probably break trying to install.

I think I need a new motherboard too, I had 2 8gb ram slots and one of them is warped or something, since the other chip wouldnt go in. My friend told me it SHOULD go in but when I pushed and pushed to get it in there, the memory stick broke, so I'm just lucky that I even have 8 gb of ram.

But if I need a new motherboard and other things, I'd have to spend a ton of money and I don't really wanna invest it into a new PC if FO4 still runs alright. I'll definitely need to upgrade for the next game, though. I'm pretty sure I'll still be able to run FO4 decently even when maxed.

The model is not actually holding a gun, it is a model with a gun attached to the rest of the body; when the raider dies, it changes the model to an unarmed version, spawns a gun, and drops it into the game world for you to loot. You don't loot from inventories anymore and this is the only way they could do it on their retard 20 year old engine.

I'm going to raise it through the course of the game, those new perks sound crazy fun.

But I probably won't be using the dog as a companion, so early on I won't be getting that damn dog perk. If that perk worked for other creatures under your control, I could see it being worth it, but meh.

everyone knows charisma runs are the best runs, and they're usually the canon choice :^).

but really charisma is one of the more useful skills in the games, you can pretty much control your own fate, deciding what you want to do just by talking your way out of things, or talking your way into things.

Then if you find 2-3 unique sniper rifles, take all the unique parts off of them and make something even more unique and stronger. I also hope unique parts look slightly different, like mods in NV.
