Charizard has 2 Mega Evolutions, both of which are extremely strong. Char-X is arguably one of the best physical attackers in the tier, with extremely strong STABs backed up by high attack and Dragon Dance, as well as good coverage even with just EQ alongside the STABs. Charizard Y has 159 Special Attack, backed up by instant Sun whenever it enters the field, which boosts all of its fire moves. Like, that's 180 power Fire Blast even without STAB or factoring in its special attack.
