most decks in the game are required to use the 2 overpowered legendaries (lady locke and sarlac) so all decks are pretty expensive

Aggro Lyonar only requires Lady Locke, but even then that is still 2700 dust

How about 1/1 Heal 1 for Lyonar, 1/1 Dervish with Rush and Give minion +1/+0 but it goes away at eot, and rework Shadow Creep to wear off after 4 turns and only inflicts damage at the end of the opponent's turn.

As for Vanar, idk. 1/1 Vespyr with Infiltrate +1/+1?

Heal would be better but could be broken if prolonged. Better than provoke at least. But too much synergy with healyonar that's a free trigger on the sun knights or whatever with no limit.

1/1 Dervish with Rush is ok, but not for 1 mana. Would have to be 2 mana or it trades way too effectively for free.

Shadow Creep literally cannot be in that ability at all. It'd have to be something like death wish, displace any nearby minion 1 space. So no cross fucking map shit, but it gives the ability value.

Vanar, same thing. Either give it vespyr, or give it infiltrate, not both.

Well, since these whole decks cost less than crafting mere 2 legendaries of your choice, I'd say they're pretty budget.

Getting a single legendary from pack that you do not want will fund at least 25% of the deck.

Well, given Vanar has an entire class mechanic revolving around map control and several cards that complement that, it kinda *should* be for advanced players, but that aspect of the faction does not really shine right now. It's all just vespyr weenie rushing atm.

Also, any cards changed by patches will return 100% of their spirit value for a while if disenchanted. So always try to wait for balance patches if you don't have an immediate need for certain card.

Lyonar heal 1 for 2 is manageable.
Vetrivian is still fucking rediculous to have rush AND a buff. you can out-trade literally everything on a faction that spawns tons of dervishes for free, has portal guardian synergy and shits out buffs like no other. Dervish with Rush 1/1 for 2, is fine. That already trades really well.
Magmar. Either growth, or rebirth. Not both. Way too much value. Imagine a Slithar Young with Growth and rebirth. Pretty fucking broken yeah? Same idea with no limit.
Abyssian, making it a wraithling is even fucking worse. Just make it a minion that dying wish moves a target up to 2 squares. That's HUGE value for deathwatch.
Vanar: Vespyr and Infiltrate 1/1 for 2 is ok I guess, but depending on how the meta shifts can be broken too easily with vespyr procs. Maybe drop the Vespyr and make it Infiltrate +2/+2.

I know infiltrate is very hit and miss but a 3/3 for 2 is strong as fuck and not too good for the cost.

Vetruvian is throw-away Dervish synergy and Artifacts. Also blast is tacked on.

Vanar is Infiltrate and Vespyr synergy. Either Infiltrate zoo with other good cards (that 3/3 basic that dies and becomes another 3/3) or playing a control deck with that Glacial Guy and summoning vespyrs for tons of removal and buffs and shit.

Lyonar is also Zeal with heals. Abyss is either Wraithling synergy or shadow creep fuckfest cancer.

Songhai is either burn or one turn 30 damage wombo combo backstabbu psssh nothing personal kid.

There are multiple solutions, here's one:

Buff the bear with the 3 walls.
Move the bear diagonally to hit the provoke at the bottom.
Move general to same space and finish off the provoke.
Buff crystal cloaker like mad and kill the general.

Don't play gauntlet unless you know how to play this game fairly well. It's a time investment, and you'll be miserable if you don't know what you're doing. Unless you can go guaranteed 3+ wins you won't get that much more out of it rewards wise than if you just got packs.

Youll be using all 3 of those lyonar cards in your deck if you keep with it. Crossbones is good anti tech against mechazor which is rampant in silver, general high quality cards really. Maybe not as far as dust goes but playability certainly.

Light chaser has been really good to me but I guess I could bump him and healing mystic down to 2
Suntide maiden is my waifu and has great synergy with light chaser and sunriser

Jux the assassin with the top spider and move your general in front of the other general, then jux the middle guard with the spider you just juxed and use meditate to backstab the two remaining guards

Thats how, you could easily cut a martyr or two, same with the shroud and in how many games do you actually play all 3 ironcliffes? I run 2 and even then i always have them when i want them and more often when i dont.

Although you probably used up all your mana to play the big guys, you can position weaker minions in such a way that the opponent can't move near your bigger minons, and therefore can't use Entropic Decay on them.

Of course, you run into the problem of them running away and always being a tile off, but you'll box them in eventually.

We all know the pain of being tempo butt-blasted by people who just hold the hand full of removal.

i find they're just minions with good movement that can get pretty scary if buffed, and can get decent value in a single turn (2 for 1, or killing something a 2/3 normally couldn't)

also, opponents sometimes panic when it's dropped early and blow removal on it

it's just a good card to have imo

I'm sure it'll be fun to use in lower levels. But you won't be able to use it much at higher levels, especially if you want to keep playing Songhai.

The card works best with mass +dmg buffs (lyonar/abyssian), and at higher ranks AOE removals become deck staples, so it really suppresses what this card can do. It's high risk, medium rewards. Not a bad card itself, but there are just much better options.

Lyonarbros, please tell me what is hardest for you to deal with against Songhai opponents.

I'm just running a basic backstab deck hovering at rank 14-12, but it feels like Lyonar have the perfect answers to Songhai.
>tempest/truestrike/martyrdom can clear board
>provoke minions to close space and limit backstab shenanigans
>all those heals everywhere
>if airdrop provoke units come out it's almost a guaranteed loss unless I have board control at the time, which rarely ever happens because of above

Yes, there's a bunch of one ofs and it's weird.

I can get away with 1 ofs of the 6 and 7 vespr because it can be searched, however. Thinking about making a deck revolving around that interaction- AKA cutting the gatgatgat engine for something else. Not sure what would work, though.

The single rejuv and light bender are just tech choices. The deck is usually pretty consistent about having other shit to play, so I can always kick them out if I don't want to hang on to them.

Lyonar - Mono White, they've got Swords to Plowshares come on. Only effect that have that's NOT mono white are the +attack/-heath effects

Songhai - Red Blue, feels very izzet storm

Abyssian - Mono Black, self explanatory

Vetruvian - White Black Blue, this one was tough, but I fell their play style most matches an Esper token deck

Magmar - Green Blue, counters and beefy growing creatures. Simic if Simic didn't suck

Vanar - Blue, their spells are a lot of the shape changing stuff that blue does along with a bounce and a power toughness swap, they've got walls, they "tap and don't untap" with stun, and their creatures feel pretty blue too, with the "sneaky" infiltrate mechanic and all

You can maybe draft combos later but they have to be functional seperately(frenzy and elucidator for example)

Pic related is basically what usually happen in my every game. Either i am dead/concede at turn 5/6 because inner focus refuse to show up or i win. I have been fucked by a fully decked out Songhai at turn 3 before.

I play Magmar, and most people agree that Control Magmar is obscenely broken. You don't even need legos for it, Tiger+Diretide in itself is absurdly overpowered, and once you transition to Elucidator, that shit gets ridiculous. And don't even get me started on Makantor Warbeast

They can be cancerous at times but they predictable because they rely on brute force.

I have a hard time against heal whore lyonar though magmar has sphere but it's rare to see 3 earth spheres deck as magmar.

Pic related magmar healed himself to 20 health with 3 earth spheres before this turn but still dead anyway.

They are good to put pressure early, when enemy start running awayor abyssian shadow creeper.

They can get easily remove because lel 1 or 2 hp.

Well played starter decks can absolutely get you to Gold eventually, but yes, this is the point where you want to start making your own decks. Focusing on a single good deck may not be necessary quite yet, you may not yet know which faction you really like. For a short while, keep crafting to a minimum with exception of maybe vital commons and uncommons

A bit expensive because of all the epics but at least it has no legendaries, mainly because i don't fuckign have any aside from Nemesis but he's too mana heavy.

The lone Twilight Sorcerer was mostly useless, another emerald would be better.

From rank 10 to rank 0 it proceed twice for me without wasting the proc, literally twice as i counted. The buff is not a heal so no procs.

I still would keep them because it's a 4 health 2 drop.
It means i can divine bond it for +4 and have it survive attacking anything with 3 attack.
It means it will stick on the board, no one wants to proc the passive either, so i have something to immolate.
It survives tempest.
You want a lot of 2 drops mainly to 6 mana immolate.

Jax is kinda weird but otherwise I don't see an issue with this deck.

Then again, when enemy lacks group removal, Jax is pretty great distraction and 1 of them will definitely survive to be buffed.

Dust probably unless you're specifically going to build Artifact Vet (which is expensive as fuck), and even there he's not great.

For Lyonar you gnerally want Holy Immolation, Sun Bloom, Sundrop Elixir and Ironcliffe Guardian. Cards like Circle of Life and Sunriser are really good, and good neutrals are Emerald Rejuvenator and probably Healing Mystic

This game needs fixes to UI color.

The color of the cards you do and don't have in the crafting menu is way too similar. I wish you could tell from a glance which cards belonged to which faction with colored boarders.

Some of the battle background are also too light at the top and it makes it kind of hard to see the bars.

If youre going aggro cut both true strikes, an ironcliffe and doubly so cutting both truestrikes. Probably cut the sunstone too but more understandeable in aggro maybe a tempest or two but i can understand wanting the burst

I don't hate it but at the same time I don't really enjoy it
having it means you don't need to worry about card draw much
but it also seems to benefit faster decks more, they play out their hand and easily search for damage while slower decks might actually skip a draw.

The only early lyonar minion that gets dispelled is silverhand knight.

Dispelling ironcliffe still leaves the 3-10 body. past that sunrisers are easier to kill than dispel.

Lightchasers occasionally get dispelled but its not often you get to heal twice on the turn you play one and even then its only 4 health, still easier to kill than dispel

And then you equip a second one, and then a third and you are immortal.

Arclyte Regalia is amazing. A lone general with enough removal can just solo an entire fight with 2 of them, because the opponent doesn't get good enough chances to whittle it down without a bunch of face damage spells

I think the game runs a certain amount of checkpoints before verifying "sufficient play" and awarding xp and game counts.

One game I sat on my starting spot and ended turn immediately, got wrecked by turn 5 and I didn't get jack.

Another game I sat my general there but summoned a bunch of shit in a line, game lasted a little longer but still didn't get shit.

Zero marketing aside from that devs friend that spammed /v/
Ultra jew mode with p2w netdecks everywhere, much worse than HS
Speaking of HS this game copies it 1:1 when it comes to economy, menu UI, shop and so on

But mainly because you have to use your brain instead of just clicking the card with with the number 4 on it when you have 4 blue hexagons on screen.

Pretty much all you see in high level play is control based on shadowcreep.

Fucking demonic lure is so fucking broken like holy shit, it's basically a 1 mana removal because by the time that unit comes back the match is decided.
And after the abyssian gets some shadowcreep it actually is a 1 mana removal.

I heard Songhai Arcanyst was really good. Making big beefy guys with my spells is fun and doing 7 damage turn 2 is fun. I'm constantly losing by the skin of my teeth. if you go 0-3 you get something like 1 pack, 30 gold, 20 dust

1 dust is worth about 2 gold, so you come out 20 gold ahead even if you go 0-3

and if you get 7+ wins you get a free gauntlet ticket which makes it 100% worth it

Ya know, it's funny, the last time I went Songhai in Gauntlet, I actually built something close to a control deck. Went 4-3, it was kinda amusing.

Saberspine Seal and Mist Dragon Seals will hurt if you put it on a 6-7 drop creature as well, not just your usual 2-3 attack core Songhai cards

I kinda like how there is no unranked, it helps me not focus too much on my rank while still allowing me to progress. In other games that have ranked and unranked playing ranked feels really stressful pretty much all the time, but I still want to play ranked in them to feel like there's some progress and to play against better opponents.

The reason why aegis is undervalued is because of the displacer and silence doggies. Which are the majority of what you interact with as lyonar. Still though, it limits their options especially since dispalcer and silence doggies are the first to be used.

It's because instants slow the game down, and also bring more depth/bullshit to the board. If you've played Duels of the Planeswalkers I think you'll get the idea, or Cockatrice for that matter, you need to include phases and stuff so people actually have a chance to react. It's just a big mess. Plus, the turnbased format is much more popular amongst casuals
