Take a pencil and a piece of paper and draw a tree. Does it look like an actual tree? Good, now apply yourself and make it in Terraria. Does it look like the trees on your screenshot? Congratulations, your drawing skills are on the level of a 2 year old, you have very poor powers of observation and you have no sense of visual style. How to fix this: go to google image search and search for TREE, then approximate the shapes you see with Terraria building blocks.

The rest is just random shit so I don't even know where to begin.

Never have died to it, but they do it frequently to me. It once killed an npc that was walking outside unfortunatelly for the goblin tinkerer.

Indeed. Every % of extra damage means you'll advance that % faster.
Are you using the UFO for the event? If so ditch the boots and wings for damage accessories. I don't know how good is the papyrus scarab without a summoner setup, but maybe you can replace it with a summoner potion and a bewitching table and equip even more damage in that slot.

enemy spawning location and your choice of weapons is also a key factor

swap the shield for the mng

with an unreal stynger / titanium armor and an arena optimized towards limiting enemy spawning positions you would get wave 20 early so yeah

Someone help me out here;

I'm trying to max my DPS while maintaining high defence. I want to kill plantera with the Fetid Baghnakhs and turtle shell armor while standing still.

Now I'm bad at character stats and all, so I'm wondering: with what stats is the dps the highest?

If I put 4% melee speed on all my accessoirys, is that the best? What about crit? or dmg? Should I balance melee spd with dmg?

I tried it 2 times, in both instances I failes while plantera had about 5% hp left. Now Is it mathematically better to put more into defence?

What about accessoiries? Here's what I am planning to use for the next try:

>Worm scarf: reduces dmg taken by 17%
>Warrior emblem: 15% dmg
>Frozen turtle shell: block 25% dmg when below 50%hp
>Feral claws: 12% increase melee speed
>Start veil: immunity after hit

All of the above are currently with 4% melee speed, and I'm getting at about 1700 DPS.

I used all the beneficial battle pots for this.

Now help me out, statistically/mathematically speaking, what's the best setup for this.

I wouldn't risk it. If you put too much incidental damage on, you risk running up against the hit limit which will ultimately make it so your fancy banditos hit less often, which is also why you don't want to use the... the... that one magic that makes the rain clouds whose name I forget and don't feel like looking up.

The hit limit is because of the way piercing works. You can hit as much as you want with non-piercing weapons.

So far my friend and I have just made a 3000 block long strip of asphalt and placed a bed in the middle so we could Mirror to it and heal with a nurse.

Hoh boy. I'm currently making preparations for taking on the Wall of Flesh and entering Hardmode for the first time on Expert mode. I've already gotten to the Moon Lord with a couple of different builds on Normal mode, but I've never gotten this far on Expert.

Is there any nastiness, either during the fight or during the initial Hardmode scramble for lost resources, that I should expect? A no-prep test run of the WoF fight had the Hungry growing back, but seeing as I'm running a mage build most of my stuff just punches right through them anyways.

Wall of Flesh speeds up throughout the whole fight, the slower your damage, the worse he gets.

Bring menacing accessories and make sure you're wearing a variant of hermes boots.

As for Hardmode, prepare to get wrecked, even in full hellstone. Expert mode is literally git gud, don't git hit and set up an arena for each fight.

The "cloud thing" gives monsters invincibility frames and lowers your damage greatly. Don't use it.

And I don't know why your lizard house isn't in a swamp/jungle/whatever, but slap a few dirt blocks in strategic places so that there's some grass growing on it, and some vines too, either in inner corners or on the outside.
