recently, it was changed to a 1-month sub with 2 months (agdq, sgdq) benefiting the charity, and the remainder of the subscription revenue going straight to gdq's coffers. they justify this by saying that they're providing content on the gdq channel outside of gdq events. it's a flimsy justification, but a justification nonetheless.
additionally, twitch apparently is responsible for some "error" regarding gdq's donation of subscriber revenue from sgdq to msf. their explanation is that twitch fucked up, despite an 8,045 donation from twitch supposedly matching subscriber revenue being in the tracker
the problem isn't that they don't deserve subscriber revenue. it's that they changed it to a model that profits gdq without taking the time to even alert people subscribed to the channel. the only announcement was an sda forum post initiated by someone ELSE claiming they were being charged monthly and wondering why
