Any suggestions for making this better with some commons or maybe rares that are easy to obtain?

Started playing a few weeks ago so don't have much to work with, but this deck has won me a ton of games and I'm looking to improve.

It can feel pretty oppressive. very good against aggro, but not so great against more stable control decks.

The deck has very few card drawing cards and gets its card advantage from efficient trades and minions, so it's kinda balanced.

I would rather have games I lose in 6 turns than long drawn out games that last for 25 turns.

There is one thing to nerf aggro decks, and another to make control the only viable option.

I believe that a few nerfs to charge minions can go a long way. Like arcane golem being a 4/1 instead of a 4/2. And the glaive thrower being a 3 mana with the same effect but with +1 durability.

It strikes me as a somewhat situational effect depending on the type of deck you're up against. I imagine it would see a great deal more use against stuff that like to rack up lots of card draw like handlock than aggro decks where they'll be churning out the cards every turn regardless.

Given the effect itself, I'd have thought it would make a good rogue legendary? It seems a bit underhanded after all, spying on your opponent's hand.

decks that would run this (a card draw minion) aren't aggro face decks, but the decks that would run card draw minions would rather just use azure drake since there isn't a significant chance to fail. (turning whatever you drew into a chicken is basically just not drawing a card, unless you really needed that 1 mana 1/1)

It still isn't good enough to be honest. Secret paladin is second tier to regular ol midrange pally. The only advantage secret has is in the lower ranks where people are just too casual to play around the secrets properly.

I only run 5 secrets in my deck and it's built to be midrange rather than the typical agro secret. Most games end before challenger ever even sees the board. Honestly, knife juggler and REDALERT win more games than mysterious.

Plague eruptor should have taunt I think. Invincible seems a little bit ridiculous. Master's call seems a little bit much. That sort of thing works in magic because of the way blocking works, but in hearthstone I think it may just be way too powerful. Of course, I'd have to see it in action to really determine that, as it's a dead card in certain matchups. Also, if Jaraxxus is anything to go by, the format for Wrath of the Lich King should be a 6/25 creature with battlecry: Replace your hero with the Lich King.
Otherwise, pretty neat stuff.

Don't use removal on the wrong things. Hard mull for win axe. Think ahead for optimal death's bite rattle plays with your acolytes, executes, grom, etc. Get good value out of your brawls. Having a weapon equipped when you brawl so you can finish off the last dude is great.

Drop murloc knight, repentance and a kings.
Add 2 cogs and an equality.

Those divine shields and weapon damage are easy additions to help ensure early / mid game board control to get you to the poiint where dropping Mystery / Boom is just the nail in the coffin. I always find repentance to get wasted. If you want to keep 2 kings, then drop a truesilver instead for the 2 cogs..

Whelp, Hearthranger and Silverlight was a mistake.

I was at Rank 13 with a 1k dust Face Hunter. I came back 3 hours later, I am now Rank 18 with a 15% win rate.

Thanks Hearthranger and to whoever recommended Silverlight to me, it did wonders.

Secret honestly just feel like a bad fucking mechanic to me.

Like, I could understand if they punished greedy players in some way or something. But as it stands pretty much every secret just punishes you for doing what's necessary in the game. I feel like this is a big part of why secret paladin is anti-fun, the game even seems to treat secrets as if they're some hard thing to do or rarely get triggered or some shit for the benefit you get from them.

Hard? not really..Once you get to rank 5 the enemies are pretty much the same skill until legend

But time consuming, you have to win far over 60% to progress, and you have to autistically tech your deck to beat what you see a lot of or swap decks which can be hard since you might not be as good with the other deck

I haven't lost to at control warrior yet, I've faced at least 3, maybe 4. Seen maybe 2 or 3 mages, beat all of them.
Only loss was to another face hunter who got a better start.
Most wins were against secret pally and most games were over (10hp or less) by the time they played challenger.

You know how Blizzard stated that they hated charge, because it felt uninteractive and unfair?
Well, I've got the PERFECT solution
Stay with me here
We'll make a series of cards - we'll call it something like "magic" or "witchcraft" or something - and we'll make it so they can deal direct damage from the hand, with even less limitations than charge!
I'm thinking the first "magic" cards will be named something like "Pyroball" or "Fireblast"
What do you think?

Blizzard doesn't know to balance so they pretend it's their policy not to
Hunters run around with the most braindead deck ever conceived of "hit face, win"
Mages just throw down Antonidas and spam fireball at your face while hiding behind Ice Block and Frost Nova until they win
Paladins just run secrets so you can be sure you'll never accomplish anything until they win
Priests just all go dragons so they can throw down some dumbass value card and continually heal it to clear your board for free for the first 5 turns
Warriors all just pay $200 so they can hide behind 70 hp until their golden legendaries come out
Druids all just FoN + Savage roar for ez pz wins
Only Rogue, Warlocks, and Shamans are even remotely fun to play against since they've all been shafted with new cards so they don't have some bullshit strategy

If Hearthstone is such a minion focused game why is the total Health so low?

You often get down by 10HP (Which is 1/3, a pretty big deal) on turn three from lucky starts from the opponent.

Rogues all just get their combo pieces to kill you from 30 Health with their Weapon + Blade Flurry

Warlocks hide behind a fuckton of taunts while putting down value minions each turn such as a 4/9 on turn 4

Shamans are still mediocore. They get crippled by super RNG cards and having the overload mechanic on already mediocore cards on top of that

A program that can be able to spot if you have Lethal, so you don't have to look for it every time.

The biggest issue with the way Hearthstone has developed is the fact that cards have evolved into being faster and able to stay on the board longer.

With the abundance of Deathrattle and just generally faster cards aggressive decks have become much easier and faster overall.

With that said dropping down to 20 health is not a big deal and having a shit early game is not the game's fault for you getting a fucking horrible draw (and you should not have literally nothing to play unless you've built a ramp deck at which point you know you don't have 2 drops). Board control is key to winning and many players will get punished by turn four or five for investing too heavily into cheap drops once the other player has his board clear ready.

You're right; even so the HP in this game is just too damn low (combined with the fact that Blizzard loves to make value low drops) which is why SMORcing and rushing your opponent down is much more viable in this CCG

No, they're essential to a Dragon Priest.

You CAN play without them, but don't expect to be able to be just as competitive as a real Dragon priest. If you really want, you can replace it with a Senjin Shieldmaster.

Isn't Mysterious Challenger Paladin a lot similar to Grim Patron Warrior?

The whole reason why they nerfed Warsong was because of the combination that could "punish you for playing minions" and "win in one turn", words by Brode.

Although it's not exactly the same, there's no proper counterplay to a Secret Paladin who dumps all Competitive Spirit, Noble Sacrifice and Avenge on the board in one turn for 0 mana cost or 0 draw necessary.

Maybe let Shaman get two random totems instead. Potentially let Warlock lose 4 to draw 2, but I'm not sure if they even want that. Rogue gets a 2/3.

Otherwise it's balanced. The big difference is not the effects, but how some classes/decks are way more focused on using the hero power than others.
