Online servers are hosted by players using a seperate Area Server program.
Each server hosted can hold a party of 3 players.
The server host is able to chat with players on the server without logging in.
As players complete dungeons on a server the server will level up, giving the server host more customization options and eventually allowing mysterious story events and "virus infected areas" to start appearing.
We are still finding new things that surprise even the people reverse engineering the game.
In this video a new event was discovered and one of the developers logged into the server to document the find.
