I've read that, it seems to come off more as needing to know the match ups and what traits to use and such.
It seems like most FMs aren't too good at playing the class, but the ones who are play amazingly.
Seems kinda like Summoner in a way, except Summoner seems able to carry to a decent rank just because people suck vs the cat and struggles at higher ranks without working at it.
Incidentally, Summoner is my other main choice.

I played on JP servers for a while just too see the classes, make some chars and get a feel for the game.
Got a character to level 30 with like 370 ping. Questing is all you really do to level and your ping doesn't matter too much.
Just level and get a feel for the game in the first weekend rotation of beta, then when the 2nd comes around you'll be able to play on Eu servers.

Archeage was somewhat different. It was a huge bait and switch; the beta was amazing and the game as it was in foreign countries was great, but it was absolutely obliterated beyond any saving for the US release.

Blade and Soul has been out for years. NCSW lacks the manpower to fuck it up on the scale they would need. To sufficiently fuck the game up they would need a team of developers working on features unique to the US version specifically to fuck it up, and that power is not in their hands.

Trion worked day and night. A company with skilled developers, working day and night for years to ruin it in the way it was ruined. That just can't happen here, not on the same scale.

I paid 50 bucks for archeage for beta and headstart access. beta was pretty decent, I got fucking hooked and was about to upgrade my package to the 100 bucks one (thank god I didn't), and then like five days before release trion changed so much shit and their servers was dogshit for weeks after launch.

also it was plagued with hackers, like holy shit. koreans apparently like to put things client side, so people were literally flying around like a GM on day 1.

I said "never again", but here I am thinking about dropping 20 bucks to play another MMO.

Was a few months ago actually when they removed MWA farming in LoT and ET. You must consider that around that time we didn't have MWA boxes from the credit store. So by doing all the endgame dungeons you could only farm around 20-60 mwa(depending on your rng) per day. Only other way to obtain MWA was buying keys and opening boxes for the 1:100 chance to hit the jackpot(which was anywhere around 100-300 MWA). That's when most left for NA.

coming from vindictus, their business model was centered around buying upgrade materials for weapons where it was very difficult to upgrade them otherwise

premium status in pso2 gave you access to trading and a player shop, trading being near useless and a player shop could be obtained by other means

both games had stuff like costumes and aesthetic crap on the shops aswell, and i know there is a premium status type thing for this game, but my concern is what perks it will have and will they take away features normal players should have like a shop or trading

The wardrobe feature is Premium only so they're gonna blatantly bait everyone into paying for Premium just for the wardrobe.
Since inventory space is severely limited in this game and there being like 300 fucking outfits for each class/race combination, you'll only be able to store/carry around a small fraction of the outfits with you if you don't have access to the wardrobe

You can buy all your outfits with in-game gold too, so that complaint is null. Not like, say, the JP version where you have to spend many hundreds of dollars to collect every outfit (though, then again, if you have to spend thousands of hours of gameplay farming gold to buy outfits you may as well just spend a months's salary if you care that much in the first place).

In other news, outfit collectors are whales and I have absolutely no fucking sympathy for anyone who is shooting for such a stupid goal purely for the sake of collecting virtual clothing that they'll never even wear. Thankfully, most of those people aren't dumb enough to complain about a sub fee that they can easily afford anyway.

Speaking as someone who's put hundreds of hours into the JP version, the issue with outfits is being completely overblown, as usual.

I only ever use one faction outfit and a small handful of outfits that actually look good. Even with the wardrobe function, I always keep these outfits in my inventory at all times. The only problems I have with storage are when I'm feeling lazy and don't break down all the junky shit that accumulates after a day's worth of dailies.

I'm guessing all the people saying NO are going off of the alpha where the feature wasn't implemented yet.

In other words, cosmetics are how they make money. Now, there are legitimate arguments that limiting the wardrobe to premium could reduce the number of impulse buys, and that's basically the only argument that I give two shits about. Everything else is just people making their NEETness known to the world.

Here's the kicker. The inventory expansion item? They give you an even number of them, and it takes an odd amount to get another inventory line.

Everything that was in the base game before F2P was free with its release, all the Elite/VIP/Premium added was more of what was available to you.
ie. more item slots on the broker, more daily quests per day, double the amount of dungeon runs (basically from 1 per day to 2 per day on relevant, high tier stuff stuff. the rest of the dungeons you could still do 24/7 pretty much)

What else occupies your inventory in this game, besides doboks? The soul medallion and weapon upgrade system means you really shouldn't have to golf bag with gear.

Potions? I can't see it taking up more than a few spaces, especially as there's no real need for mana potions.

Upgrade materials? Wouldn't that be a short-term problem, if you don't need to keep upgrading after a certain point?

This is why I hate F2P or to be more specific, microtransactions. There's always that 'cleverly disguised' subscription like item. I.e. some sort of Premium system or capsule which lasts for 30D and roughly costs the same as subscription fee for P2P games(often even more).
Not to mention that gives them an excuse to shill out even more because "Hey it's F2P". So far Path of Exile is the ONLY true F2P to do microtransaction right in my book. Cash shop is 99% cosmetics, remaining 1% is convenience aka additional bank tabs.

To be fair, I have no idea how many free dragon bags will be given out free for events over here. And I don't remember exactly how many bags they released in the JP version over time (mostly because I bought bags and they all mixed together so any estimates of mine would be off). Could probably add another two or three rows from free event bags.

Secondary storage slots are the absolute cheapest, btw. They increase in cost increments of 1 per row (1st row 1 bag, 2nd row 2 bags, 3rd row 3 bags, etc.). Regular inventory, meanwhile, increases quickly - 1st row 3 bags, 2nd row 8 bags, 3rd row 15 bags, 4th row 24 bags, and the last row is 35 bags(?!).

I messed around with my main class just to experience how it feels to play with no latency.

Assassin is never going to be all that popular just because their fighting style isn't nearly as 'powerful' or 'flashy' as other classes are. That's on top of them being one of the harder classes to use and having little visible contribution in PvE.

You're misusing the word.
I play Assassin because I generally like playing the stealth/thief/rogoue class in all kinds of games. It doesn't matter if I have 1 or 2 daggers, all that matters to me is that I have some basic stealth components to the class and am using a dagger/short type of swords.

I should elaborate: Stealth classes have a sinister reputation in PvP games(one that isnt deserved here, but that's a different story) and ninja classes have stereotypically attracted that kind of NARUTAO XD type of person.

Assassin is most definitely a ninja class. It literally throws shurikens and has substitution jutsu, for fuck's sake. I plan on playing a sin myself, but you have to accept the kind of image the class puts forth.

It's easy to see why a lot of people would be turned off the class as a result of these things.

Not OP but when the doboks are untouched themselves and still make every female character a walking porn star, its uncensored. Thats just an aesthetic change to keep new comers from being weirded out before they get use to the games look.Even if your going to nitpick, on the plus side they'll probably make the original undergarments doboks, on the downside NCsoft will probably jew you for them in the in game shop.

For a game thats about dressup there are surprisingly few doboks
Half of them on tw/jp are special event or pay only and usually arent even chinese styled. The other half are cookie cutter as fuck.
There are less than 5 good looking doboks in the whole game, at least they should make reskins of every colour, since a dressup game doesnt have a dyes system.

Not being bias, you literally paid 25 bones for access to the alpha which is now over. They're tossing beta keys left and right, I manage to alert 5 friends in time to grab their own key. Unless you enjoy having an unique title over your head you got ripped off lol. You can't even use the Premium points without handing them more money lol. I wrote a lot of stuff for the pastebin regarding NA and a new OP pasta that I think is pretty meh. I've also moved around things so TW BnS info is later on while class rundowns come up after the NA info. At some point in the future I'll split TW BnS into a smaller pastebin for people who still desire to play there after launch.

On another note, I've been lazy and haven't begun writing the class template, so that will have to wait until next week since I'll be busy playing.

That's what made it easy for me when I bought the Master's Pack. I've already played the game quite a bit and I know I enjoy it, and getting those coins I was going to purchase anyways helped as well. The nice thing here is you can try the damn game before deciding if it's worth buying a pack.

KFM requires knowledge of 2, lmb, f and 3, lmb, f anicanceling.

Destroyer lmb, rmb anicancel is essentially the most important part of des. Also in group pve play make sure to get the grab's 2,2 and always be grabbin.

FM and lock essentially play like you would but you never actually let the animations finish before you move to your next attack.

(L)BM requires canceling into poke and lightning slash

assassins is similar to kfm. I don't know the exact way but it involves lmb, rmb, f.

This game is a themepark whereas Age of Wushu is much more of a sandbox.
As far as combat specifics, this game is a bit more grounded as far as combos go, with less of a an emphasis on unnecessary movement

The reason every other game wipes after alpha is because they change the game drastically enough that makes them want players to test the early game stuff again. But we didn't get an "alpha" we got a "technical alpha." The game isn't going to change in any major way so there is absolutely no reason for a wipe.
