What I think is going to happen is we'll get the armor at the Museum of Freedom, kill the Deathclaw boss with it, and then there won't be anything to repair it with for a long while except shitty raider parts. Eventually, the Brotherhood of Steel will notice there's somebody stomping around in Power Armor and take a decisively negative view of that, and probably try to get you to turn it over, at which point other options will become available.

Think of the power armor like the dragon shouts from Skyrim. You're not going to have a lot of options at first, but if you kick ass and explore you'll get way more power-ups.

Fallout 4 doesn't have anything sexual in the ESRB rating, even though you can romance every human companion and Fallout 3 and Skyrim had sexual themes tacked on to the rating.

There's no achievement for joining the Institue because you already become buddies with them during the main quest.

A fairly recent trend in new releases is to have less trophies, just compare Second Son to the original Infamous.
The Last of Us has like 10 trophies.
Shit even Civ BE has about 60 compared to CiVs 300+

No way there is only 10 SIDE QUESTS in all of 4, maybe at lease 30-50, the map is fucking huge and should have things to do everywhere. the trophies are just extremely basic , I mean its saying shit like crafting 100 weapons, when theres 700 mods. and among crafting house shit which is small to get the trophy The trophies are basic and half asses because this trophy type stuff is dying out. my only fear is that the game wont have a lot of things to explore in the map because skyrim got boring fast. fallout maps were always better , with vaults and buildings and shit. If the map really is bigger than skyrims, its pretty fucking big.

Also how will companions work? will they ALL stick with you at once at your house? just chilling with you? or can you only have one at a time again? I really hope they can all be with you or be chilling at your house, it would make your house have more people in it. you could talk to them and shit. but also.. how do you go about relationships? how will that even work? because if there are "stages" of romance, you cant go back with another character for the whole game until you restart it? because that sounds awful about a game that goes on forever. maybe they will let you do everyones little questline or talking.

They didn't leave out that book. They included the edited version, which was introduced in Morrowind (and was the only version in that game). The version with the barbed dick is from Daggerfall, where it was the object of a quest to steal the manuscript so Barenziah could have it edited.

I really hope they haven't made another skyrim with level design like this. Every location in fallout 3 (ones not even tied to any quests) had their own little stories told through exploration, and most of them were really well made.

Also, unmarked quests should stay unmarked, it makes them feel so more real.

Its more interesting than tes by far, has more content and better lore. the maps are better too. skyrim was awful and the worst beth game by far. I beat every fallout game, but could never beat a tes game or skyrim. It was just a mod fest and by the time i had everything installed the story didnt matter. I always just stopped when i got to the mountain shit. I do like tes but for some reason its not fun and skyrim ruined it even more as a rpg. fallout 4 at least seems to be as fun as ever with a lot of content. every weapon in skyrim felt the same, every race was the same, magic fucking sucked. and the world was empty. it was just mod city while i never even needed to mod new Vegas really or back in the day 3. I just had... fun actually doing the story and finding weird shit.

You anti-paid mods faggots disgust me. Why can't someone that spends countless hours making a mod for your own enjoyment not get recompensated for his or her work? Why is it fine for games like Team Fortress 2, but not Elder Scrolls or Fallout? They give them the tools to create, they can make money. Bethesda gives modders tools to create, and you penny pinchers get your panties in a twist when they can make an honest dollar for their work. You don't have to fucking buy any of it.

Its no where that dumbed down, whatever they got rid of it made sense at least. skill points were not important because they added crafting which is far better, they added complex body armor, better gameplay too begin with. its not skyrim were they completely raped tes. they just made it better in different ways. Because it's a goddamn hobby, not a job. If they want to get paid, fuck off and work in the industry like the devs do. It just creates unnecessary friction and division in the modding community, which up until now has always been about collaboration and helping each other.

If mods suddenly became paid, modders would have no incentive anymore to share knowledge and assets, in fact the opposite would happen since everyone would want a piece of the scraps and helping others would just be helping the competition.

And fuck paying hundreds of dollars for a proper mod list since Bethesda is too lazy to fix even the simplest of things (PC NEEDS a separate UI, a UI designed for the consoles is absolute shit on the PC).

The technical circumstances in TF2 mods and Bethesda mods are completely different though. Valve restricts what you can run and takes responsibility for supporting it.

You could do paid mods in Bethesda games and let the market take its course, but the attrition would be really, really bad, and there's a real chance the community would never recover.

At the moment, yes. There's no way to know beforehand when the 3rd party vendor keys will be sent out.

Though you could always just torrent the preload files, add those to your steam folder and then unlock at release. The Steam client won't be able to tell the difference.

Why did Silverlock have to go and give permission for SKSE in paid mods, anyway? That singular refusal could've torpedoed the whole thing before it started. In general it's that cooperation and shared content in the mod community that stopped it from taking hold in Skyrim. My only fear is they might be able to pull it off successfully in a new game before that community settles down and those assets are made

imo they should display ammo rounds as mags/cells instead, so if you have 5 10mm you have 5 mags of 10mm ammo with 10 rounds each, or if you have 5 MFCs you have 5 MFCs with 100 shots each, assuming 1 charge unit per shot (rifles uses 2 charge units)

What? Laser/Plasma Pistols used Energy Cells, full-sized rifles used MFCs, and in FO3 they each used 1 charge/shot, NV introduced more charges/shot. And that doesn't answer my question of whether or not Laser Pistol actions that use Energy Cells are still around.

I just looked at the chart. Skills are basically perks now it looks like, with individual ranks. This is pretty disappointing actually, considering F4 already has 10 or so less perks than NV, and having a bunch of those perks being skill replacements is pretty shit.

This is worse now that skills are in direct competition with perks, meaning you have to choose one or another. It's basically Skyrim's system, and Skyrim's system was fucking shit where every character had no defined specialization.

Your perception score will probably function similar to the way the Lockpicking skill was in Skyrim, where having 10 perception might equate to having 50 Lockpicking but no lockpicking perks, in terms of passive bonus.

Then the ranks of the Lockpicking perks will be the equivalent of adding 20/40/60/80/100 skill points to Lockpicking at each rank, along with the bonuses at each rank, Like Infiltrator at Rank 5.

Yeah that's not great. In Skyrim nobody bothered with lockpicking/pickpocketing because their level ups meant you didn't need any perks to bother with a masterlock.

Functionally this will mean alot of perks that were carried over from skills being empty space, at least the ones that aren't combat orientated.

A single sentence would amount to a thousand sentences, and depending on how many times he'll speak your name, that's a huge multiplier. And this is one VA saying the same line with a different name every time.

It's not impossible but they really aren't for or against being a synth.

The first one is either going to the institute (to presumably go after your family member) or being taken by the institute.

The second is the player talking with what you'd assume to be institute members and involves refining humanity in someway. It could just as easily be the institute trying to use your prewar body for something as it could be them wanting your sick robot body.

Powering Up is also very clearly the player addresses synths in some way. Chances are it's some dumb option like A) reprogram to murder bots to cut your way out of the place or B) free them or C) something else.

The important thing to tie it all together is the big culmination of all that is the family reunion with the old ass baby (I don't see how people think that's Nora but whatever it could be). If they sprung the "ur a robot" angle at the start of the final chapter of the game they aren't going to make the ending be you comforting the dying baby of the man or woman you are not and have not been for the last section of playtime.

Steam groups can be pretty fun, even if its not the same game, sometimes the TES chat plays TF2, L4D, or other MP games. Kinda wish more of them had Vermintide, which I've been meaning to play.

And I've found that there's little drama in 4chan Steam groups as long as you don't hand out way too many mod / admin powers out, and are VERY picky with who gets to be a mod / admin and who doesn't.

Not many of these soldiers stationed at far away outposts would continue on the fight once they heard the news the Enclave got BTFO out of D.C, they'd probably just leave the army like those old people in Arcade's quest.

I think the chances of meeting some enclave remnants are pretty high but I don't think they will get the spotlight in any DLC

That would be pretty cool, if you become buddies with them they could help out with patrols and sharing their tech with other settlements but at risk of pissing off the BoS or you can wipe them out and the BoS will be more willing to protect your settlements, would give the player something to think about.

Well, honestly Violet does look alright there with all that boss gear but I have a thing for black girls/

Violet in the base game is really ugly, though. That's even canon judging from Dhatri's comments.

But with a "paperbag" like that on her head, anything goes.

Honestly I think I just really like the Boogeyman Hood/ Wastehound Helmet, and I hope we see it make a return in Fallout 4.

Ideal raider headgear, if you ask me.
