THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT, CHECKPOINTS ARE COMING TO MARIO MAKER ON NOVEMBER 4TH.

Also a mushroom that turns into a fire flower if you're already Super Mario which is awesome and another Gnat game if you're into that but CHECKPOINTS.

The official levels are pretty cool but I'm having trouble getting excited about anything else in this video when they opened with Checkpoints.

Lately I can't edit a level without the gnats showing up at least twice. I don't know if the rate for them to show up increases after you unlock all the items or if Nintendo just really wants me to play their Wario Ware game.

This bugs me. I don't want to have to delete and reload everything I've already put up, but they'll feel incomplete otherwise.

Man, these checkpoints are gonna be JUST in time for my wily stages, but I'll add them in all my stages after I'm done and retouch everything, and make the final bits of each stage more deadly. Maybe even make the bosses much harder.

Can we have more than one checkpoint in a stage? I hope so. Though, will it tank completion rates if people die and start from a checkpoint?

In any case might as well shill.

Is anyone else hesitant to upload levels until checkpoints are implemented?

I've been working on a relatively large level that would benefit from checkpoints, so I guess I'll have to wait a week before I actually upload it.

When thinking about DLC I've always focused on new content for the level editor, but seeing them add stuff to the Course World menu made me wonder - how likely do you think they would be to add a "Search by Name" function at some point down the road for the World category? It would make finding, say, all the Donkey Kong-themed levels much easier.

Gave it my best shot, but it's pretty tough. A lot of it relies on luck with Bowser's RNG, if he's feeling generous the descending white skull on the tracks is a breeze, but a lot of the times it's guaranteed that i'll have to take a hit. Also, his fire can travel all the way to the hammer bro section, which makes that encounter nearly impossible.
