And also the patterns in the bottom left corner look like chinese themed dragons.

Bellona will act as a crutch honestly. You want gods that will teach you good fundamentals.

Sobek isn't the best guardian but I picked him because playing well requires you to actually do your job as a Guardian as opposed to being a fat warrior. The rest will teach you fundamentals without too many gimmicks getting in the way, Ra is a good pusher and is made to shit out damage, but doesn't have reliable escape. Rama is a basic attack focused Hunter that will tach you how to aim, Tyr is a solid warrior with a standard ult and abilities that have diversity without being a fat Assassin like so many people play Bellona, and Fenrir is an assassin without any crutch abilities like Loki's invisibility.

Ultimately though the classes do not matter as much as do roles in conquest, but it's still good to get a feel for things.

I haven't really played as him much, but for the love of god go practice landing his ult so that it puts you right next to a target. Ideally you hit a few people, but you want to stop right next to someone and fuck them up. Most Mercury players fire it off and then have to walk all the way back to an enemy that's already recovered from the stun

But I'm curious, what is everyone's build order for him? I already have my item build figured out (pen shoes > warlock's sash > mail of renewal > chronos pendant > etheral staff > tahuti) but his abilities I'm not sure of.

I've been going 1>2>3 to start so I can start building demon bag stacks then my order is 4>2>1>3. I know the stun is useful as fuck, but I'm not sure if I should be focusing on it more since both of his abilities are best when burning off his demon tags

You need CC to keep him down. Zhong is tanky as fuck for a Mage and if you build him to be even more tanky he's a huge pain in the ass. I mean I don't have a particularly good strategy that would work for every god, but you basically just need to focus the shit out of him. Brawlers Beatstick or some other antihealing would probably help since he can heal off his 2 and 4

I think Hi-Rez made a huge mistake in making this many modes. The game should have just had Conquest, ranked Conquest, Joust 3v3 and assault. If they wanted to make the game an e-sport you need players to actually play the game mode that's being promoted. The reason Smite gets barely 10k views during tournaments is because 60% of the playerbase is too shitty to even understand conquest and so they play arena/assault/siege/joust and don't watch anything regarding Conquest.

The reason ranked arena didn't work is because the big minions and tiny jungle aren't big enough objectives to make a difference to the outcome of the game. Every match was literally just afk farming waves, whoever got bored first and tried to engage would normally lose as the enemy was waiting for them to do so and had literally everything up.

Non-competitive arena would be something like X Hero Siege with waves and bosses, pve in other words.

I disagree. One of my favorite things about Smite is that there's so many ways to play it. Obviously some are more casual than others but at least it's not LoL-tier grind grind grind the same shit every fucking day.

If anything I think what they should have done is lock all modes other than conquest on new accounts. After 5-10 conquest matches it would unlock Joust. 5-10 more matches it would unlock Arena and so on. Or lock it behind your level so you have to at least get to level 10 playing nothing but Conquest before the other modes open. That way it forces everyone to at least learn some fundamentals instead of just clicking on Arena day 1 and then being a shitter for eternity

5.5k favor isn't a lot,you get 1250 favor each week with your daily connection plus 100 favor for a first win of the day in any mode, and I don't know how many at the end of each game so you can get 5500 favor in 2-3 weeks easily.

You also can get Appolo, Nu Wa and Artemis for free, and IIRC Agni and Cupid are cheaper.

Nah, acording to the icons in the files, the two roman items for the odyssey will be dubstep janus and that mohawk bellona skin. The pedestal is probably a bonus for buying Janus' skin though. There is also an animated icon with Dubstep janus's theme. It will undoubtably cost 600 gems at least.

You get honor by winning matches (10 or 15 for a win I believe). There's a multiplier based on how many people from your party are in the clan. You can spend this honor on chest rolls like you would gems.

We're level 7 and there seems to be leveled chests, so I don't know what's gonna be available besides shadow skins.

Trans is good for the mana, but the devo build has done me better at enhancing his late-game duels. CDR is nice but typically not worth it, especially in place of executioner. You get exec for the massive protections shreadding.

Only time I'd recommend that is if you're facing 5 squishies for some ungodly reason.

Also make sure you're building power boots and not attack speed. Gives your auto attacks a little more oomph early game and later on when your 2 is maxed if you bought attack speed shoes you'll overcap.

There are blue buffs, at least in the match I just played.

To me, it just seemed like Siege with closer lanes and a smaller jungle. So team fights are pretty much the whole thing.

Don't know how well of an arena to conquest converter it will be. It doesn't really teach you how to be good in your lane.

Thoth is nice but its power comes at the cost of fragility. If you want more survivability replace it with warlock's sash.

Obsidian Shard's only good against tanky teams. For most you'll want Spear of Magus instead because it has better penetration vs. squishies and her combo sets it up perfectly.

Besides that it's all fine. Many mages build the same way, with some exceptions like building gem of iso on Ah Puch or Poseidon.

Character goes back/forth between a dark palette with red effects and hints of the standard god design. Makes you feel like you're a bossfight character.

I've been told that breastplate of valor isn't that good on guardians, because the stats aren't worth it for them, they are better off with more useful items. breastplate is more like an item for mages that are struggling in lane and getting shat on by physical damage dealers.
