The only people playing are streamers and they're awful at shooters.
They don't know how to make use of alternate routes, alternate elevations, indirect fire, projectile absorbing shields, or anything.

But I'm sure Blizzard will ignore that and nerf tons of heroes anyway based on the poor performance of retards who probably didn't even play TF2

I disagree, damage boosting someone using their ultimate that might otherwise not kill the entire enemy team is a big deal, being able to fly around and completely avoid damage in certain enclosed high ceiling areas due to flying around is a big deal

Anyway, you're going to want both on your team, but you're always going to want at least one Mercy

None of them take skill anymore, they're all designed to cater to the lowest common denominator. Even the older ones that previously took skill have been tweaked to work in this manner.

When the gunplay,abilities and movement are all easy to play then it doesn't mean much.

It's like comparing recoil control in halo to counter strike. Both have it but one's much more difficult to be able to use effectively.

Let's be realistic they probably invited something like 500 to 1,000 people today total. There's been a constant stream of AT LEAST 100,000 people watching the games with it peaking at 200,000 earlier. There's probably at the bare minimum half a million people signed up for the beta.

So even if all things were equal you have a 1 in 100(to 200) chance of getting invited.

It's not that you're unlucky or anything. You're just not insanely lucky(or more importantly friends with somebody at blizzard)

Mcree's ult is easy to dodge though. It plays this very loud western music when he starts and you can easily take cover. The consistent damage on his revolver even at far distances and bomb is more annoying but I guess he needs that to compensate for his shitty ult (worst three jots in the game).

It was during s8 of esea, but it wasn't in esea. It was in between each scrim, I was in irc and challenged him to a scrim, to get better. I expected to lose real badly, but learn from our mistakes. But we noticed quite a bit and took advantage of it.

I average 40-50% accuracy with mccree, his current playstyle completely relies on you surprising someone and flashbanging them to get a kill
he has almost no mobility, his damage is garbage (3 shots to kill a fucking pharah) (pharah does 120 damage per rocket and can fucking fly)

Nah i'm just curious, it's an interesting pool of people, both the streamer and the people "donating" for seemingly no reason. I just quit my job and went back to school, and I cannot imagine wanting to ruin one of my hobbies by HAVING to do it for 'x' amount of hours a day.

That being said though, a lot of these top streamers seem like they make enough money to sustain themselves (sponsors and shit like that to top it off). Top streamers are of course a minuscule percentage of the overall streaming population i'm sure, but it's interesting nonetheless.

The reason being a streamer is appealing is because lots of people don't want to have a "normal job." I have a normal job which I fucking hate everything about but I need it because I can't get a job in the field I actually want until I get my degree, but I have to pay for things somehow. If I could trade the job I have now for fucking around with friends playing video games I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'm not an e-famous streamer but I've heard a famous artist talk about becoming well-known, and you have a couple of options. You need to have a good/interesting personality in addition to all these methods though.

Option one is you need to be the absolute best at something, or close to the top. Ive seen a ton of Dota streamers get famous popular because they have ridiculously high MMR, though the top streamers are almost always pro players.

Second option is to fill a niche that no one else is filling. In art, it would be to make fanart or some shit of a game with a decent following but no good artists. In Dota, there's a lot of players who are well-known for playing one hero all the time and get well-known because of that

Option three is to just have good connections. That's basically how Andy Warhol got popular - he was a world-famous as being one of the best graphic designers and advertisers in America, so all of his connections helped him with galleries and shit when he decided to try being an artist after he retired, it had nothing to do with his art actually being good (which his early "artwork" was definitely not)
