The campaign might be a good start.

Otherwise if you wanna just mess about until you learn it, I had fun playing some dynamic multiplayer missions alone on a lan server.

Consider doing the first few campaign missions(like 3-4), they teach you some basic military stuff, like using maps etc.

The VR training is also pretty good, you'll probably have good frames and it is easy to learn.

In short Campaign has a good tutorial, while vr training is good for refreshing or learning about specifics.

Incorrect since marksman DLC, hitting an AI now causes temporary suppression and permanent aiming error.

Only ACE breaks, but that's probably because it's coded by monkeys because there's no other justifiable excuse for it being objectively worse than AGM a year later when it basically copied it's entire codebase.

Say what you want about Meh and the rest but these admins/mods don't even associate with /a3g/ anymore. Duck stepped down as admin. Opec literally died and refused to even show his face when we needed him to do his job and update ACE. Trusty doesn't even show his face and plays with a euro group. Domiku locks himself in a room with a fuckboy and doesn't even attempt to associate himself with us ie a literal leech. Harry is missing.

At least Meh, Mittens, Oldblivion, and Ray are somewhat involved in the community even if it means just socializing in TS. The rest don't even want to be apart of /a3g/ anymore. When we come back I can see them coming back and expecting to keep their power. Should we trust admins who only want responsibility when the group is alive? We need someone who will never leave us.

So uhm, newfag here, bough Arma 3 a few hours ago, basically because I recently bought a saitek x55 hotas and I've been installing more games where I can put it to use.

Then of course, throttles being all retarded happened.

getting the bindings right is a nightmare.

By god who the fuck designed the GUI in this game.

I can't even finish the showcase mission for fixed wing airplanes due to being unable to target the laser designated SPGs, doesn't matter what keybind I use, at what bearing I'm approaching the area, it just won't find any targets, which also brings me to mention, the fuck is up with revealing and locking targets, half the time I can have a land vehicle right in front of me, and it will refuse to lock.

Check the multiplayer, see how many servers there are, and how active. Almost every active one is some altis life bullshit or whatever.

I-i just wanted to operate while being socially awkward and maybe, maybe get to do some CAS in a jet... The fuck did I just get myself into.

I hear you, although in regards to piloting, I don't know man, I didn't have much of an issue at all obliterating everything else with the GAU, which I imagine has to be a bit trickier than basically 'main a certain altitude and speed relative to the target and press the i kill u ded button', fuck, I have less of an issue dealing with DCS's bullshit and that game pretty much wants you to set keybinds for inhaling and exhaling out of each lung individually.

Not much. You GPU isn't a gaming GPU and it's going to bottleneck any increase in CPU power. RAM difference is a non-factor (also the fact it appears you're triple banking which is... odd.)

Anyhow, keeping the same cpu and ram but getting a GTX 960 would have made a world of difference, what you did will maybe give you a couple of fps as long as that bottleneck is there - all nvidia gpus under the x50 series are worthless for gaming.
