Am I the only one who thinks Naoto is by far the worst P4 character?

She's barely smarter than the rest of the IT, yet acts as if she's the best detective in the world. She's supposed to be the rational one in the group, but every one of her decisions are based on emotion instead of logic. Her crossdressing makes no sense when you remember that her mom was a super-detective back when the field was likely far more male-dominated. She fails to figure out who the killer is because she forgot the killer incriminated themselves, it would've been fine if she missed the incriminating statement but not catching it and then forgetting it for no reason. She lets herself get kidnapped without wearing a wire or putting a camera in front of her door. She fails to keep the case open despite the fact that Dojima is thinking the exact same thing and would agree with her if she didn't manage to piss him and everyone else in the police off so badly. The only thing she contributes to the case is proving that Kubo isn't the killer, which would've become obvious anyways after Yu gets the first letter.

An ultimate edition release on PS4/Xbone with all DLC could sell depending on the success of P5. If P5 gets a big audience they should repackage FES/Golden/Ultimax as The Ultimate HD Persona Collection Remastered or something.

Roughly half of PS4 owners never had a PS3. P5 is going to be the entry point to the series for a lot of people, especially since the console is starved for exclusives. With the Vita dead, a PS4 Golden port would sell. Throw in any or all of 1/2/3 and you've got a lot of fans buying it out of principle as well.

You can see all of that on youtube. There is no incentive to get Ultimax even with all the DLC included. Why would you get it? It's just colors and a couple of songs and three characters that you should have already gotten for free, besides Marge.

What they should do is a new fighting game. Or retcon Ultimax and fix its story. Ultimax being all a dream or something.

I meant your description of Ultimax. No real reason to buy DAN either since you can watch it all on YT.

I'm all for Arena 3 with P5 characters. But that would take more effort, and when they can test the waters first easily there's no real reason not to do so.

You won't be able to max all S.Links on first try. Don't look up guides how to. Just try to hang out with people you like and focus on stats.
With Tartarus it's best to get to the blockade every month as fast as you can (but without avoiding battles) and spend rest of the time fucking around with S.Links or raising stats.

Did Aigis try to commit suicide in the game ? Because she's pointing her finger guns at herself in the fourth movie while she's on the roof top. It looks to be a pretty dramatic movie. I saw Junpei yelling at Makoto to do something about the situation they were in and Akikiko punches him. Then it cuts to everyone looking sad as fuck.

I got a good idea for a new Persona spin off
>2 years after the events of P4
>Yu returns to Inaba to attend a newly constructed college there
>all his friends are there (except Marie) and are also now attending college

Geez why did the fourth movie up the drama so much? I suppose we'll be spending about 20 minutes of the film with the characters persona changing and maybe seven dealing with Jin and Takaya and the remainder for everyone vs Ryougi and Nyx.

If we ever meet Shadow Yu, he should say that Yu doesn't really care about his friends and tell the party how social links work.

This is what annoys me the most about the movies. MC was supposed to be opening to those people, but since Aigis appeared he hasn't do as much as talk to them, and even let one of them get killed. MC was supposed to be friends with everyone and to die for everyone. I don't know if the movies will go as far as making he die to protect Aigis only, but even if they don't it won't make sense because he doesn't give a shit about anyone else.
I thought they would use this movie to finally have MC come to terms with the rest of SEES, but so far it seems he is only fawning even more over the fucking robot.

Why are Aigisfags so bad. The first director was a Yukarifag but MC talked a lot to Fuuka, who was who made the biggest impact on him. Got closer to Junpei and even talked to Natsuki. In fact, he even removed the MC and Yukari pandering scene at school.

I wouldn't want Yukari being the romantic interest, best thing would be leaving everyone as friends. But seeing how he dealt with them in the first movie, I think it wouldn't make me as mad as what they are doing with Aigis. The first direct was not this blatant, and was better at writing his waifu. The Aigisfag we have now is not even trying to make her interesting. In the second movie she literally didn't say anything but "I will be by your side." He has a lot to work with since Aigis was very neglected in the original, but he chose to go with that empty sentence and not even bother giving a excuse of why Aigis would like that team killing shit, or why Makoto would exclude the robot from his I like you all so I won't talk to you never again.

In the first movie, we see Makoto become more in touch with himself after spending time with countless people. #2 was supposed to elaborate on that, but it's all shafted when Aigis comes in. He's supposed to be 'afraid of losing his friends' but when do we see him even have fun with anyone in the movie? He glues himself to Aigis for no apparent reason after she's introduced. It messed up the entire flow.

Manga MC doesn't care about romance. He gives Yukari, Ryoji and Aigis warm smiles but that's all. Even in those latest chapters about Aigis confessing her feelings, what he tells her in the latest preview is that he is grateful because he is alive thanks to her. Yukari spent Christmas with him but neither got more than a thanks, and with Ryoji he called him a friend.

But the worst thing when comparing the manga and the movies are the desings. In the manga everyone looks cute and in the movie everyone looks ugly. Why didn't they ask Sogabe to make the desings.

Why doesn't anyone do the same for Mitsuru and Akihiko? I mean, those stupid fuckers could have prevented that at so many junctures, like sitting down with Ken and explaining things to him, having the Kirijo group help him out when his mother died, or even just making sure Ken and Shinjiro were never alone together.

I don't think anyone would do it either, but I don't think the rank thing would be a problem. Mitsuru is supposed to be the real leader of SEES but she never really feels like she has any power at all until after the main game ends.

It doesn't feel like it but she is still the leader and they're still persuing full moon shadows under her instruction, staying in her dorm, on her island, guided by a man from her company, and she is still literally their senpai at school and in SEES. It just feels like she doesn't have personal power because she barely exercises it, which I think is mostly due to plot/gameplay concessions (ie, if she is actually proactive with Ken it fucks the plot, if she stays in charge of combat sections then the player isn't in control of the game, that kind of thing).

That being said after the first time you probably should have noticed how underwhelming and hacked together those scenes were and stopped doing it. Seriously, everyone who canonically dies isn't found until about noon the next day, all the non-canon deaths are found on 12:03 am.

Anyway even in P1 got an adaptation it wouldn't mean figures. For figures it would have to do well first. P3 didn't got as half as P4 merchandise and of course not as varied or as good. Because P3 can't match P4 popularity. Many anime pass by with no merchandise. You don't need anime, you need the thing to be popular first. And P1 isn't and an anime won't change that.

Just to elaborate, playing p3 and not playing through january is basically criminal. The entire game is formed to make january feel amazing and you can tell it's the reason the game was made. They blocked out ten months of filler before finally slapping you with a month in which everyone knows they are about to die and have to carry on anyway.

This change in tone isn't jsut mental, they change the MUSIC for the whole game during this period. instead of the silly iwatodai dorm rap music you get this fucking masterpiece which plays off of your knowledge of the tartarus music.

This. I played P4 before P3. If we're talking about dungeons then they're pretty much on the same level (lots of ways to cheese it) - P4 only barely wins because it has better music and more varied dungeon designs.

The S.links were far more simple in my opinion. They didn't have the depth like in P4, but no wonder - bonds are the main part of P4, while in P3 you learn straight away that getting to know people is the way to become stronger. Instead, the main theme is fighting the inevitable.

Both casts are likable, I can't choose from them.

Not the guy you're replying to, but I'm a sucker for that kind of "modular" music in video games. It's not the finest example (Portal 2 exceeds in it, for instance), but still a pretty nice touch.

Being a leader doesnt means he has to get sucked off proven by P3, and that Yosuke, Kanji and Teddie deserves as much apreciation praise as Yu. But the characters are designed to suck him off as hard as they can.

Yes, but since Yu is the leader of the group and orchestrated everything, they will obviously like him more. People loved Steve Jobs for the Iphone but noone really gave a shit about all the engineers and designers that worked on it aswell.

There is no reason to just felate Yu besides the cast being made to blow him.

Was he? Other than battle, where MC was the only required character, and social links with the girls, when did MC generally have any sort of interaction with the rest of his group? When did Akihiko, Ken, etc. really get that many interactions with him?
