Yeah bloodtalons is a 30% damage boost. I was iffy about it at first, but I really enjoy it now. Throwing quick heals out there AND getting a huge rip or bite out of it is really satisfying.
They don't have mangle anymore, though, just shred.

It's not that simple anymore. Bears have the simplest defensive cooldowns, though.
Blood DKs are much easier to play, but have defensive cooldowns all over the place.

Bear is pretty fun, though, lacerate multistrikes give me strength and hope.

Bear's got rage management, lacerate management (I fucking WISH blood's diseases were more like this), pulverize, self-healing procs, rage-based active mitigation, and so forth.

It sounds to me like you haven't played enough bear at a high level. I tank quite often on both my druid and DK and find the DK only valuable and interesting for grips and grasps. Anti-magic shell is a good cooldown.

You always have to decide whether you want lacerate to keep on ticking or if pulverizing it right away is worth it.

Came back as a DK, got freed alongside the Ebon Blade and all that and pledged himself back into service with the Horde, got some recognition fighting in some of the battles around Icecrown.

Throughout his story it was kind of obvious he was hardgay for Garrosh, I'm terrible I know.

there is no set rotation since every player is different, all specs have different abilities, and you don't know how the fight is going to play out (another enemy joins in, your flag carrier comes by and you need to peel/cc while fighting, etc.)

God I fucking hate being a monk. I had to flat out pass up Tiger's Lust because I don't have a keybind for it. I can't figure out a keybind for disable so it's on Shift Y, as in "Y the fuck do I have this many buttons". I don't even have a keybind for PvP trinket, Racial, or Taunt.

Does literally any developer know that this is happening? It looks like they put a lot of work into pruning all those buttons for warriors but I fucking gained like 5 buttons through leveling and talents. And the worst part is that all of them are important. More than half of them are a part of my rotation.

Jesus fuck this is just awful.

I just started PvPing last week. Im at 4 pieces of gladiator gear and the rest is combatants and my buddy and I are winning the vast majority of our two's as feral/surv. I like MM for BG's because I can just go in a little late and blow shit up from a distance and I'm usually ignored.

Haven't tried BM yet but I look forward to it.

Two questions:

Why are the epic crates dropping only blue gear?

How do I get rid of the loot pop ups because they are unnecessary and they cover the leave button.

You can buy them in your faction's ashran city, there should be a bunch of arakkoa vendors handing around and one of them gives you 3 seals per week.

You can trade in gold, honor, garrison resources, or apexis crystals for them.

Gotta admit, shit was kinda worth it just for all the tells in Warspear and Stormshield. Felt good back in Wrath to get one of the first Time-Lost kills as well. I am the man with limitless patience for all the ultra rare spawn mount things. Who are you trying to fool?

There is no excuse for this sword to be so blurry, or for the polygon details to be so misaligned with the texture details.

Blizzard in their own industry is nowhere close to Pixar's level of quality in theirs. This time around, the quality is what you can expect from literally any alternative on the market, and more than half the time the alternatives to WoW have BETTER quality art assets.

It's a shame, really.

Did you even play this expansion? It looks way better than everything before it, as a whole. Of course there will be exceptions. Of course previous expansions had good designs and a select few high-res models.

In WoD's defense (lel), Frostfire and Shadowmoon are both beautiful zones. Their skyboxes especially have been amazing. Not as good as MoP, but that's like the theme of the expansion.

I don't mind the spin at all. Dwarves, being as short as their arm, naturally would have far more horizontal momentum than vertical. Putting their effort into a strong, horizontal swipe, they'd naturally turn if they keep putting all their momentum in one direction.

And I think trolls are the best looking DKs, the glowing eyes with heavy facepaint and the tall, looming look is really nice.

Yeah, it's outdated gear but can be of use for you for a few levels. In the past you got justice points from dungeons and valor points from raids and then spent those on gear. Valor is returning in next patch though.

They're defunct and unobtainable currencies (although Valor will be returning in 6.2.3). When they removed Justice & Valor in 6.0, they converted all the JP/VP vendors to just sell their pieces for gold. The gear will be replaced quite quickly at 86+, so save your gold (unless you want pieces for transmog) and don't buy anything.

in cataclysm, justice and valor were endgame currencies which were harder to obtain than gold.

a few years later, justice and valor were removed from the game.

this gear is now legacy, so rather than removing it they made it available for gold. gear at 100 will be more expensive or require farming.

i think the problem was when they designed the monk, figuring what it should do, they just thought "they should do everything and do it well or at least stylishly", so then WoD rolls around and you're trimming abilities but what do you trim when the core idea was to do everything?

you already got roll, a pseudo-charge, and then you get a mobility talent of course. also better have a flight form just in case.

you get kick, stun, cleave, sap and hamstring of course, you're melee after all. they should roll hamstring into a chance on tiger palm or autoattacks like they did with others just to condense that shit.

you even get a warlock gate because... ok at this point we're just taking the piss.

There is nothing wrong with premades for ashran. It is silly that people need to exploit/workaround to do it.

The problem with ashran is it lends itself to win swapping instead of good pvp.

The lore has been so thrall heavy since the beginning and the last few expansions have centered around horde characters doing something and everyone reacting to it. Its an incredibly boring formula that they keep reusing. The reason it is orcs acting and everyone reacting is because they have always been written as the misunderstood underdogs.

I got caught up in reading the lore for this game this morning and now I have the urge to play it again.

I played a little around the release of Cata and got a BE Warlock to 80 before stopping.

And then I played again right after the release of Warlords and got a Forsaken Mage to 20.

And now I'm getting that feeling again. Is this game a lot of fun if you have someone to play with? I've recently opened up to having online friends so that might be a legitinate selling point for me now.

Yes it is. Mandatory racial for competitive high end pvp as a rogue is human, though you will see some really skilled players managing as night elves. Anything else is just subpar or memeish right now. Undead used to scratch ok levels but not even that anymore.

Warrior, but most classes can probably do it at 700+ ilvl
You can solo it at like 660-670 as a tank spec.

I've done both prot and fury, but did fury when I got the mount and it was a cakewalk at 710.

What should/can I do with excess honor? I have like 4k just sitting there and none of the current honor PvP gear is as good as what I already have.

Also, how are RBG's? I've honestly never tried them but I'd love to get my old classic PvP titles back, but I don't want to pop in, underperform, and be hit with MOBA levels of autistic rage.

Nearly every class has high prio on tier gear, with warrior's it's a little different though. On single target fights, it's alright, just a reduce cd modifier. Reck was a mediocre at best cd in the first place, so making it a 20-30 sec cd really isn't as gamebreaking as it sounds.

On AoE, you can either play around the tier set, or say fuck it and play normally. Having up reck for every bladestorm is the only upside to the 4pc in AoE situations, so you can try and time wild strikes to reduce the cd just enough.

I swear there's a bug currently that wild strike crits don't always reduce the cd of recklessness.

Trinkets are def more important than the tier, but by the time you get EDH+Worldbreaker you should have the 4pc anyway. Only thing about trinkets is to swap out Worldbreaker on fights with a lot of add switching like HFA or Archi. I think the discordant chorus trinket is a solid choice for a swapping trinket.

Just because you don't think it's a very good rpg anymore doesn't make it somehow not an rpg.

I bet you the people who think about their character's, well, character enjoy themselves a lot more while occupying the world. I don't even play on an rp server and I like to think about my characters as people within the world. It's satisfying, especially now with so many mount, title, and transmog options.
