Depends on the tournament.

They mostly use their own accounts (you understand that by the fact that some run golden cards some dont or some have some golden and some non golden cards)

Rank 5 is completely 100% doable with any well thought out deck and pretty minimal time investment.

I was thinking about Mistcaller and why its so bad
It seems odd to me that its a 6 mana 4/4 with a weak and slow effect
While Mysterious Challenger has a fast and strong effect and is a 6/6 for 6 mana

It seems like those stats should be reversed.
Would a 6/6 mist man see play?
Would a 4/4 challenger see play?

It seems weird that these cards are on such far extremes of the power curve

Dr Boom - Aggro/Midrange being even more powerful (once Patron was nerfed), e.g. Secret Paladin that gives up stuff like Equality/Truesilver/Consecrate to curve minions better or Druid going even more aggro and putting in Fel Reaver

Compare them to Piloted Sky Golem, a good but not quite constructed tier 6 drop. The Sky Golem gets +2/0 over the Mistcaller, plus an additional 4/4 (taking that as a typical 4 drop) when it dies (if it doesn't die you probably have won). You'd be lucky to get more than 4/4 of extra stats from Mistcaller, and even if you do you don't get them on a separate body which is pretty useful.

Mysterious Challenger has +0/2 over the Sky Golem, plus gets a battlecry (pulling 3+ secrets from deck into play) which you may as well say is roughly equal to a 4 drop in terms of tempo.

Rend isn't as good as BGH. The only targets I can think of that rend is useful for are Ysera, Tirion, Tony. There aren't many prevalent legendaries in the meta that rend deals with that BGH can't. Rend also requires a dragon in hand and is a worse core Hound without his battle cry

1. craft midrange hunter deck (approx. 1500 dust in total, 0 leg)
2. Archieve rank 5 through a session of grinding (8-10h max) so you get a golden epic at the end of the season (400 dust).
3. only spend money on arenas. pick paladin/mage or rogue if possible, build your decks on heartharena.
4. dez any rare / epic / legendary that isn't in the meta for any class
5. Do dailies in arena if possible and don't spend too much time on this cancerous game. 1h/day should be enough.

Blizz told that the algos "may favour people who put themself a lot more in the game", which means that the curve of win / loss according to how much you paid for the game will change a lot once you
1. buy for adventures
2. buy for arenas

That's why we say there are wallet decks : algos favour wallet decks matchups and they grind to legend far more easily.

i really wish this wasn't the case but this just seems to be the sort of game where the person who can do the most damage as quickly as possible generally wins. then you tack broken as fuck card draw engines onto that, along with broken shit like muster and divine shields and such, and you have the deck i posted that destroys everything.

i really wish this wasn't the case. my legendaries are useless when it's better to just play cheap aggressive cards instead with divine favor. i don't care about coldlight giving my opponent cards since i'm the aggro deck, and it actually SYNERGIZES with favor. it's pretty bullshit, but that's why i play it, i crush all of the secret pally cancer decks pretty consistently and divine shields rape warriors, hunters... pretty much everyone.

Charge minions are actually a thing.

"Cards that reduce the cost of other cards" aren't a thing. Unstable portal is a spell, unless they coded in a specific card list that would be effected, it doesn't make sense. Even blizzard wouldn't do it.

The only cards I can think of that would be affected would be mech warper and pint sized. What else am I missing here?

It was mostly a joke, bro, chill out. The point is the blizz devs would never implement your change because it would actually make it not overpowered but still good enough to reasonably see play. Just like if warsong still gave charge but minions that got more than 3 attack lost charge, it would still be good but you wouldn't have frothing or inner rage patron craziness continuing to exist.

But they didn't do that. Instead they nerfed it into an unplayable mess. That's the joke... it's pointless to come up with a reasonable nerf because blizz doesn't do that, they nerf shit into oblivion until it's completely unplayable.

No one plays decks with any of those cards anymore. Even leeroy BARELY sees some meme play. Undertaker is absolute garbage, auctioneer is just a meme card now where it's so mediocre and other cards/decks are so good, there's no point in playing it unless you're forcing it. Even with leeroy, I'd rather just play arcane golem most of the time.

It's sort of like shadow bomber, but priest has better 4 drops. That new 3/5 heal for +2 attack is probably better for aggro.

Yeah, but if you're playing it on turn 3 odds are pretty poor and most likely it will die along with your totem.

Odds are 5/8 that you'll get a 3/2 and a lackluster Totem, and if it spawns a Flametongue without a creature on board, that ends up being a useless spawn half the time as well. I cut the card completely from my Midrange Shaman deck, and it is better off for it.

Although I haven't tried water elemental in my tempo mage I'd say shredder. Water ele isn't as good without patron being a thing anymore and shredder drops a minion. Also it could draw silence from owls instead of them silencing more important things.

Why does blizzard make a million shitty or mediocre cards, but then makes a few COMPLETELY FUCKING BROKEN cards that are so utterly, completely different and on an entirely other level of power that they dominate the entire fucking game?

I mean you look at boulderfist ogre and then you look at mysterious challenger and it's just like... wtf? You look at the shaman card draw (basically a 4 mana arcane intellect), and then you look at fucking divine favor or battle rage. The list goes on, minibot, mad sci, etc etc.

I don't get it. I guess what I'm asking is: is blizzard just retarded, or do they do this on purpose? Do they specifically mean to have a handful of super OP cards that outclass every other card in the game by miles? Or is it just like "whoops we broke the game! our bad HAHAHAHAHA!"?

You're making it far dramatic than it needs to be.

You have several issues here, for one, all card games have bad cards, good cards, and cards that are straight upgrades from other classes cards, because the different colors/classes/etc tend to play differently with different strengths and weaknesses.

The second issue, is that the HS devs have no idea how to make card games, so most of their ideas come from just making cheap bootlegs of the WoW TCG.
