We rescued six of them, never owned any before and I have to say they are really wonderful little creatures, they bond with each other very quickly(we got them three at a time) they basically live to explore and mess with things. They love climbing and eating and that's about it, I hear they mellow out around a year old but all of ours are 2-4 months old so they are always running around. Luckily skaven look so humanoid to me or I might not be able to play it tbh.

Is your entire replay value of this game come from exploiting for loot until you're blue in the face? Are you gonna do it until you have a dozen exotics and a bunch of hats? And then what? You'll finally begin playing the game once the multi has died down, with no real sense of progress or goals, considering you already got all the loot you need?

I can see you were victorious.
Besides, usually the best in combat takes a portion of everyone elses when they are done with their group and yoinks some kills, which is typical of Elves and Bright Wizards. If you are killing things that efficiently then all you need is to hope that they pick up some slack when killing specials or tanking hordes.

Why does loot even matter, just play on fucking hard and enjoy weapon variety even if they are just white/green with the occasional blue. I can't help but feel that you are supposed to do nightmare after you get your first orange and just enjoy fucking around with new things until then. I absolutely hate reaching a point in a game where I can no longer progress and I am glad I have a long way to go. If its so ball breaking for you to get orange loot as quickly as possible then get it slowly instead.

Cool the fixed exploits on HoM and BP, but didn't fix:

>insane spawn rate of specials
>bullet sponge rat ogres
>clipping pack masters
>literal teleporting gutter runners that will clip underneath terrain and incapacitate people
>gunners being able to shoot though walls

VT is early access trash. I regret my purchase.

I only have 1 exotic, but I do have it, and I got it from completing Horn of Magnus with 2 grimoires and 3 tomes on nightmare difficulty.
I know there is an exploit for Horn of Magnus too, but its not standing behind the bench is it? Because that honestly doesn't feel too broken.

Haven't used a single exploit, have never tried playing the Elf nor Witch hunter.
I'm playing exclusively Dorf or Wizard.

I've got one single item for witch hunter (not in pic) which was a green 2hander. The 2x elf S&D felt like a backblow, worse then a waste of my time since I can't salvage them, nor am I going to use them.

Having a blast in Cata with my dwarf, can't quite keep up with my Wizard though because the two Exotic staves are traited in the most garbage of ways and blue staves doesn't even 2shot clan rats.

Don't protect this garbage loot system, it's fun but not in the long run

Got into a nightmare game earlier where a level 45 guy purposefully aggro'd a fully avoidable patrol. It's apparent that now the exploits have been fixed, shitters think they can hang in higher difficulties because of muh oranges.

Yes, that's the case but if I equip one of the 'badly traited' staves I can one shot headshot or twoshot body. At the cost of putting myself on fire after 4 shots fireball, 2 shots beam with the amazing "more zoom" and "more stamina" traited staves.

I cycle it through with other missions, but it's definitely a nice filler for fusion. couple black powder's, a tome/grim mission, couple more, do the sewer one, couple more black powders, another tome/grim, etc. it's nice because one can complete multiple runs of it in the time that you'd use in a tome/grim mission before failing at the end anyway.

Been getting tired of super low levels of shitter exploiters dropping like flies through the tome/grim runs and costing us a match. seriously, when I told that level 57 dude that if the rat ogre shows up, I'd kite it 'cause I had a shield, he responded

other missions are lot more enjoyable if you got a group of friends to get at it with, otherwise expect to hold 2-3 pub games before you filter out the fuckers and get a half decent party

An option to double down or even triple down if you don't like your roll would be nice. The item you just selected is removed from the list and replaced with something else and the bottom 3 or 4 options turn into blank spaces.

Get a blank space it's game over and you get nothing for the mission but if you get an item and you still don't like it you can reroll again. This time with more blank spaces.

Depends entirely on how you apply the chances. Considering the odds of getting the weapon you want, combined with the proper boons AND them getting a good roll, i'd dare say it blows HS right out in terms of shit odds. Probably down in the 1/10000 per run, which takes around 20+ minutes each. Amazing.

I regularily have 2-3, and usually at least 1 is the trash weapons like repeater pistol or the lone 1h weapons. Now add in that their rarity is random and the dice...

I won't go into traits since I personally think breakpoints are much more important but they're an issue for a lot of people too. I would rather instead of getting random proc chances they all start at base and you drop salvage in to upgrade them gradually, but I can live with the trait system right now.

If you play on nightmare/hard the odds are still disgustingly low, because you don't get class specific weapons.

Again, take a look at the dice odds table either you or someone else posted. When you start adding all the possible weapon outcomes, even ignoring the boons (which are a huge part in getting a good weapon capable of beating cata) it gets ridiculous.

The weapons you get ARE scewed towards the class you're currently playing. I can't remember one roll that didn't have atleast 2 weapons that were for my class, and that's not including trinkets.

I still think the big issue is with weapon balance. I've played 40 hours and have duplicates of the weapons I wanted. Majority of greens/blues I've got have been for the class I play.

I think the biggest issues right now would be, in order of importance:
1. Optimization
2. Matchmaking
3. Weapon Balance
4. Loot System improvements(if needed)

The odds are way higher to get something for your class.

Gear is more important for cata but it still isnt that important.

If you get really lucky you can get amazing weapons that make it a lot easier but those are by no means required and are really the least important factor in a cata run.

Teamwork>Skill>Director RNG>Pickup RNG>Gear traits>=Gear rarity.

Pretty much every weapon is viable too, there are just some that are better than others at certain roles.

The damage bonus is the least important part of orange weapons, their main bonus is that they have up to 3 traits.

If you have another weapon with better traits even if its green/blue then its usually a better choice even on nightmare/cata.

A green handgun with master crafted is better than anything else unless you are on cata, then you want blue.

A green shield with a high chance for a free push is way better than an orange one with garbage traits.

Unless you're brightmage / it's on a pistol.
Pistols you want mastercrafted, period. Brightmage you want some combination of heat reduction / heat damage reduction / venting heat on melee
Shields you want stamina
everything else is just icing

For melee health on hit is good for the fast low damage weps and health on kill is good for the stuff like 2handers. I really like rupture (shots penetrate enemies) on ranged, especially the brace of pistols. You can solo any area with an ammo box if you get those, especially the horn room since they all pile in on top of eachother.

Master crafted for most ranged weapons, ammunition holder, rupture, and extra capacity can also be good.

Regrowth is great on anything.

Improved pommel/guard are by far one of the best traits for shields/if you push a lot.
Its pretty ridiculous how high the chances are and you regen a push every time it triggers.

Swift slaying is really good.

BW wants skills that have to do with overcharge.

Specials should be handled by the soldier or dorf or both implying elf can do anything but lick rat cum off the floor. The anti-ogre utility you get with brace can't be matched by any other class, but the crossbow is soundly beat by the handguns. Plus it's not like the brace can't kill specials, those things are deceptively accurate when crouched and aiming.

That's fine, it really won't make a difference outside of making carrying pugs less headache inducing until the hardest maps. There's a huge powergap between the easier maps and the hardest 4 maps, you can get along with traitless blues just fine in most cata maps. Only on a couple of items, trueflight bow uncharged for example, does going from blue to orange hit noticeable breakpoints in damage.

Basically focus on getting on a couple of strong blues and you can start working on the easier Cata maps like HoM / EoW / SR / S&D

Do strength potions affect ranged damage? It didn't make sense, but my group on nightmare made sure that me, as the wh, got every strength potion and told me to open fire.

If they do, wouldn't the speed potion be better with dual pistols, as I could pump out all 63 shots in a heartbeat against something that could take it, like an ogre.

real answer is the spawn system seems to spawn a fuckload of specials along the map and since there is no real maze for them to go through you get a fuckton of them at once

Fits every race, every character because its vague as fuck.

Besides kroxigor and Saurus are intelligent, as noted in their lore, the books, their rulebooks. They are both incapable and uninterested in learning Common because its not their job. Kroxigor are simple and their vocal areas are too big to develop to speech organs anyhow. They however can communicate and are intelligent.

The Kroxigor Legend I mentioned earlier has a habit of traveling the world. Is it really so far fetched that he'd step in to a city overrun by skaven, his mortal enemy?

And by the way, about the communicaition thing, here is a very popular character from a movie, might recognize him.. He does just fine with 3 words.

Im not trying to defend lizardmen or any other actually interesting race.. But man your reasons for not having them sure are stupid. Get on with the fluff lumberfud. (final remark about the stupid ass waywatcher reason for being in the game)

This would actually work out well, a Man at Arms would fit in a lot more with the ton of the game rather than a Knight, banter wise at least. Plus it would allow for the addition of halberds

You know what I would like to see?
Random events.
The game already prides itself on being different each time you play a mission, so why not have certain events that may or may not occur on chance.
For instance when you get to the guard tower at the start of HoM there could be a 20% chance that you catch a few guards still fighting a pack of Skaven, if you kill them before before the guards die the game could reward you with some loot die.
Just general events like this would add some nice flavour and heroics to spice things up from time to time in my opinion.

A skink/Saurus has about as much to do as the wood elf has. If you want a bullshit reason pick between: Lizardmen war party/scouts nearby, pirate/dark elf prisoner that escaped, accidental stow away on a trade ship.

If the city is overrun by skavens, they'd fight the skavens and without a slann saying 'killing the humans is all according to the master plan' or their artifacts being stolen they're pretty chill, hell the elf might even know 'em and would be the only party member the elf isn't a giant cunt towards.

lizardmen aren't 100% confined to lustria, just mostly, just like the wood elves aren't 100% confined to the woods.

I'll readily admit the premise is flimsy, but in the warhammer setting it does work about as much as the elf

My friends and I usually head right first, then to the one directly above the first. Then across the pond to pick up the last two. If you can make it to the other side without getting swamped, you should be fine - funneling them up stairs is much more preferable to fighting in the open. Hopefully the folks you're with have some kind of sweeping weapons (great hammers/shields) or grenades. They make that fight (and most, really) much easier.
