They're way better than they used to be, and the minion damage reduction buff has helped them and MM Necros immensely in PvE

They're still not METAGAME tier, but they're fine. Don't expect them to be in every speedrun comp, but if that's all you care about then just roll an Ele or Warrior.

They've been strongly suggesting that Rangers will be crucial to Raids in one way or another, but that doesn't hold much water until we see it.

It is populated, but there are dead servers for wubwub. PvE doesn't matter due to Megaservers.

Revenants are good for FREE BUFFS, AE stability in case someone actually wants to pick a fight, and can be tanky enough to survive the full brunt of an enemy zerg for a shockingly long amount of time even in zerk gear, but every class has a niche in wubwub. Except Thief, but Thief is retarded. Mesmer is pretty good in Wub once you know what you're doing, but the elite spec chronomancer turns them into better wellbombers than Necros since you can use their new shatter to reset all your cooldowns and just do it again, coupled with the AE stun of Shield 5 makes them absolute fucking nightmares if they get in range or you try to push on a zerg that has one.

I liked being on the battlements firing down on enemies, sometimes killing stragglers that tried to circle behind us.

On offense I would getting those catapults/turrets and siege fortresses. I feel like engineer would be good for me, is it in a good place WvW wise?

A reminder that you as a player should NEVER join a PvE only guild unless if you're an absolute casual.

Even then joining a WvW guild is more preferable.

You're literally missing out on so much of the game if you only play one gamemode.

DS has multiple organized maps. It's only "dead" because it takes some amount of coordination so a bunch of randoms can't do it.

Same deal with TD. Nobody has even been able to complete the meta, organized or not.

Yeah, which is a bit of an issue for because I don't keep an eye on LFG for DS org runs. TD has been a giant clusterfuck. People have too much difficulty navigating and too much difficulty getting back to where they were.

Needs something to improve navigation because the Nuhoch wallows don't seem to do dick.

Ranger main here, got laughed out of last topic for mentioning bearbow (when I use the bear for condition removal, not tanking, and I don't really know what to use for a second weapon set since my armor sucks for greatswording and I'm not comfortable bouncing around with Sword/Torch.)

Rangers would make such a better name for themselves if they ACTUALLY USED their fucking F2/F4 abilities, especially if traited.

And also if they took advantage of their field effects and buff/debuff capabilities. You aren't a fucking warrior, but you can easily mightstack to 25, or vulnstack to 20. Or Vigor/Regeneration/Fury on 100% uptime.

There's a few explanations for that:
Halloween is on, so maps are little light on people.
The instancing is still fucked beyond belief.
Tangled Depths is too fucking convoluted so people either avoid it or are spread too thin across the really spaced out events.
Dragon's Stand is a coordination map only and often left alone until a proper organization is formed.

This leaves Verdant Brink which is usually pretty lively and Auric Basin which is also pretty lively but has extremely drawn out events.

Overall HoT maps need some tweaks and Halloween needs to pass for the maps to become more populated.

There are tons of mobs, it's pretty much a non-stop fight. You'll even do some events along the way and you'll get up to 2k bonus exp per mob if you buff yourself up for more exp.
But no, instead they just grind shitty spawns that barely give 700exp a pop. I guess it's preferred among the braindead trash players or something.

Are you really implying you require any sort of social interaction in open world PvE? Do you even remember the name of the people who you were playing beside, let alone having a feel for how they are and if you like them or not?

The closest thing to social interaction that exists in gw2 open world PvE is giving incredibly basic instructions to the plebeian masses, over and over and over again until they follow simple instructions only by the virtue of those instructions being bored through their thick skulls. Even then, there's a whole bunch of illiterates auto attacking with their PVT Guard staff1, or bursting down Triggerblossems when they sshouldn't be (but at least the later are in zerk).

I have it set to middle mouse button and my F1-F5 skills are mapped to thumb buttons on the mouse. Action camera is great if you are able to quickly switch between it. I dont have to mash a mouse thumb button to keep using my 1 skill now. That, and the movement changes are great.

It just takes a while to get used to. Right clicking on enemies to target them can be hard, so keep "target prev enemy" and "target next enemy" binded to somewhere easily accessible.
