Sokol, BBQ and Gage Courier are the only 'must-haves' right now.

Sniper is usable, and gives you something unique. If you ever want to use shotguns for fun you could grab the shottie pack, regardless of how much teeth gnashing and wailing there is in thread about them. They'll work on ovk.

I'd say get weapon packs first. BBQ and Mod Courier are considered essentials, but others are alright to have. I don't use Western Pack much but I've had a lot of usage out of Shotgun, Sniper and Historical packs.

After weapon packs it's really up to you. I consider heists more important than character packs since pubbing on this game is laughable and you'll want to be hosting more often than not.

It isn't too useful, but I've enjoyed it. Dynamite is my favorite thrown weapon, and I suppose if you don't have any other Gage packs the Buzzsaw is a pretty alright LMG.

In terms of usefulness it's really not worth it, but I like it anyhow.

bbq for piglet + incendiary ammo
sniper for when grenades are out of range
rpg for maximum cheapness

or pick one that fits your style

HE was double nerfed so dont bother with shitguns unless you just want something to stun a dozer, even then a sniper/piglet/any auto weapon is better.

New accuracy system means it's impossible to get shotgun to be accurate, especially when using HE.
New damage model for shotguns means they all do less damage across the board.

Judge's damage is mostly unchanged and accuracy never meant shit anyway due to damage dropoff. If you can't hit enemies with the guns why are you shooting them in the first place, HE is for stunning.

If the HE round is that bad, you're using the wrong gun with the wrong mods. I can hit the faceplate of a dozer from down the street.

By pointing it at the enemy's feet and shooting? Shields are a non-issue if they aren't withing punching distance and dozers are removed the fastest if you get up-close and full-auto. If you can't hit something with HE you shouldn't do that in the first place.
HE is still useful if you want to use any non-explosive primary.

Flamethrower by itself is good enough already. Fits into any build.

All you need is that one flamethrower skin that adds 1.6 damage :^)

Why is the armor bag even a thing at this point? It's the most useless deployable in the game, and there's no heist where I could even think it useful.
