Bit of a weird question, but has anybody tried taking drugs when playing Pokémon?

Just that my housemate, who takes Ritalin for Autism, gave me some when playing WiFi, and it worked wonders for my rankings (I went ~1650 to ~1850 in a few hours) and I'm kind of curious if this is a thing that anybody has done before when playing Pokémon, since from my point of view it seems reasonably effective.

I really wish there were tournaments in this shithole so my only way to play isn't on BS with a shitty connection.

Also, is it worth swapping a Cresselia in a CHALK team with Milotic? I want to keep Thundurus because it's fucking good, and Cresselia isn't doing much for me, but I feel like I'd be tearing a hole in the team, yet at the same time I need a rain counter because the team is kind of weak to it.

I've been thinking about it, angel said in vgc chat that he knows certain players take xanax/adderall before tournaments. I don't think I need it to play well but if a pill could be the difference between a travel award for nats I'd take it. its one of those things like hacks that don't get discussed (cheating, performance enhancers, its almost like vgc is a real sport huh)

I used to breed, but it gets really old after 4 or 5 teams, especially when you have to rebreed a couple of mons because you fucked up when raising one or something. Also, leveling multiple mons from level 1 to at least 50 is a drag. You spend more time on the "level up" screen than actually gaining experience (imagine having to go through 10 or more leveling ups including moves and what not for each mon in your party per defeated mon)

Actually Unown is nice for luring out Dark types or Special walls. Makes it incredibly easy to predict. HP Fighting takes a chunk out of most switch-ins expecting HP Psychic, or just predict the switch and gain momentum.

Nothing is truly useless.

In this case it is. As Chimecho, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, and Cresselia do everything Unown does and more they're strictly better. So Unown as absolutely no use.

There's no Pokemon more predictable than Unown. That means you know exactly what your opponent will do. Your opponent may have multiple choices for dealing with other Pokemon, which makes it harder to out-predict them.

Unown is mind game from start to finish.

what I love about this removing megastones argument on NB is all the shit players parroting wolfe (who is right by the way, but that's not the point) and saying we should get rid of them. We definitely should, but having megastones in the game, having the ability to put out huge offense like that can only benefit shitty players since they're usually unable to outpredict good opponents, the best they can hope for is getting a good opponent in a bad position and spamming return/double edge/heat wave/hyper voice/whatever. that's always been good player's critique of certain formats, gem boosted attacks in 2013, now megas in 2014/15: its almost impossible to recover from a bad position which can easily happen turn 1 through no fault of your own (you should carefully choose your leads, but you get into bad positions turn 1, it just happens sometimes.) so when I see all these bad players going HURR DELETE MEGASTONES BECAUSE WOLFE SAID SO xDDD I'm like, you guys are just shooting yourselves in the foot. you should want every advantage you can get

While it's true that the damage output of SOME of the megas is retarded complaining like a mega killed your parents is just as dumb. Good thing that megas are here to stay and that some people there are sane enough to understand that the real issue here lies in some non-mega mons that complement each other and these megas way too much.

Mega Kang and ZardY had small changes from 2014 to 2015 but suddenly in this meta they are the problem (there's a problem with Kang but it's not as big as some claim, but still big), what changed? We all know what changed.

Kang by itself has a huge damage output but can only nuke one mon at a time and 9/10 times can't touch ghosts. Mence isn't as big as it seems. The more troublesome ones would be ZardY and Garde, and they are the less bulky of the "OP" bunch.

I don't think it will be very relevant. MegaVenu is gone, and Amoonguss/Conkeldurr are still checked pretty well by other stuff. Maybe if Ludicolo rises enough, but I don't think it'll get to Sylveon/Aegislash levels of importance.

For some reason this 2016 season I have seen alot more people with dilated pupils than normal. Also I think drug testing would be hard since some people take meds, like me(for add not autism btw) actually benefit from the drugs and not just taking for the kicks of it.

Kang is an extreme case, since there's literally no downside on having it on the team and requires little to no support to work, and almost everything that can OHKO it reliably, can't switch in into a resisted attack and can be OHKOed by Kanga. Given how easy is to cover Kanga's shortcomings with other very strong mons, is very hard in the current meta to play anything different than offense. The most popular "defensive" style, perish trap, struggles against CHALK and can lose quickly if it doesn't play perfectly.
On the general mega or not thing, I believe megas for the most part are fine, though a little nerf to say -ate abilities and parental bond would be healthy for the meta, since the megas with those abilities (and charizard) are the ones with the "very high with no drawback" damage output. With those you can, for the most part, just spam strong attacks for a few turns and win. Garde and Charizard have great spread damage but are fairly easy to stop thanks to regular speed and mediocre bulk, so nerfing them wouldn't be a priority. Mence and Kanga both have insanely high single-target damage, great bulk and great speed(mence) only one weakness(kanga), so a nerf on those would allow for a meta where you can't just 2hko everything, which would be very good in my opinion.

I think its because the meta is so anti-heatran. I mean look at hpground. Hpice allows you to hit landrorus, salamance and maybe garchomp but you literally only hpground for heatran. I have found arcainine, volcarona, entei or charizard normally fills a niche for a bulky fire type on a team better anyways.

I don't think there's any question it's OP as fuck with only two weaknesses to obscure offensive typings, and only resisted by one common defensive typing admittedly, but a fairly obscure (outside of like heatran and the odd charizard) one in fire too. I say this as a mega gardevoir user, and I kinda hope they don't, but it does need to be fixed. oh, and only heatran quad resists it. it's just weird to me how Gamefreak has made this mistake twice in a row: creating an OP type to nerf another OP type, last time it was creating steel to nerf psychic, now it's fairy to nerf dragon. Steel is a little more manageable now but still kind of OP

I've tried running M-Chomp with Tailwind but I find it needs too much set up to take advantage of the 3 turns of double speed. Thunder Wave and Trick Room are probably better. It's just really sad because m-Chomp is outclassed by Landorus in every single way, even as a special attacker.

The thing about it, it's that it's "Skill Swap" Mega Gallade. I pair it with Azumarill to swap Inner Focus for Huge Power. Or to swap Inner Focus with Parental Bond whenever I see M-Kangs.

I sometimes disappear from the rankings for days at a time, not sure what triggers it but it's usually fixed itself on its own after 2 or 3 days. Of course it may be different but that's my own experience with the gl.
