Pokemon may be Nintendo's darling franchises, but Nintendo is all too happy to have another darling franchise. I honestly don't like Yo-kai Watch, but it's obvious we're going to have to learn to get along.

Someone got a review copy and gave their thoughts on it too. It was posted on /v/, but I'll post it here too.

Looks like review copies are being distributed. Gathered some thoughts from one of the people who are running around in chapter 4.

I'm very early in the game at the moment (Chapter 4) so I'll try to answer your questions the best I can.
Some yokai are easier to befriend compared to others. There are certain items that can be used to make enemy yokai easier to befriend.
I've only been in one boss fight so far and it was a bit difficult to defeat personally.
Japanese QR codes don't work.
I'm enjoying the game a lot.
I wouldn't say it's easy but I can't really say since I haven't been through the entire game yet. The boss fights require some strategy though.
I'm loving the dialogue in the game. It's entertaining to read but I don't think it's that funny in my opinion.
I think some humor relies on the anime so some people might not get it.
I haven't checked out any of the sidequests at the moment so I can't really say(I'm Sorry), but I can tell you that there are two different types of sidequests. Favors can be completed as many times as you want and Requests can only be done once.
Yes, it does. There's a bit more things to do in the game (Catching yokai criminals and a bit more).
Jibanyan is my favourite Yo-kai on my team so far(I'm pretty sure this was expected)

Tried the demo and didn't like it. I know that battles are supposed to be better in the full game, but they're still going be just as mindless. The yokai designs are almost entirely shit, which is a real shame.

The rule is you have to use ALL the wrong ones? I used 2 right and 1 wrong and didn't get shit. If you use all wrong ones it's impossible by design.

The flame badge is the bad one. If you're doing a challenge run to try to get them, good luck I guess, but the battles are designed for you to get the stars, not the flames.
