Did anyone here actually struggle with Whitney's Miltank, or is this just another unjustified facebook meme?

I've played through Gold, Crystal (many many times), and Soul Silver versions, and not once was I ever under-leveled enough to actually have a problem with any of the gym leaders.

Why are people so worried or hyped about Z? Why does everyone care so much that they haven't released a game this year? This was common before gen 5 (and actually, it still was, since BW in Japan came out in 2010 and B2W2 in 2012).
Why is it so hard for you to wait for two years now?

Don't forget that Diamond and Pearl came out in 2007 (2006 in Japan) and Platinum in 2009 (2008 in Japan). And Emerald came out in 2005 (2004). FRLG in 2004, and RS in 2003 (2002).
Why are you shocked that there hasn't been a game this year? It's always been like that. The passage from gen 4 to 5 and from 5 to 6 was kind of an exception because the DS was at the end of its lifetime, and they needed to release XY in 2013.
Also, I might get being a little hyped about Z, but most people I see seem to exaggerate to me. You don't even know what feature it will have, and even then, if we would take a guess based on the older third version, it isn't that much.
