How about this: Completely remove 1 Hit KO moves from the game, Pokemon can't be transferred if they know one, and the move is deleted if traded to the next current version. Just lost my Super Singles streak in the Battle Maison because of Cryogonal hitting two Sheer Cold in a row. Fuck this game. Yes I mad.

Make fire types absorb it, like toxic spikes.

Create a paralysis variant too, Static Field, give it to Electric shitmons. Make Electric types and mons that are immune to Electric (ground, lightning rod etc) absorb it too.

Except if you want to, y'know, hold a different item. Give it a Choice item on top of the auto-crits and it hits pretty damn hard.

For that matter, Hawkeye should also be learnable by Fearow.

Doublade has no shield to use - if anything Aegislash would get it via move relearner just because it has a shield, but Aegislash's own ability fucks up the move.

Coral, even though it's an animal, is usually thought of by the general public as a plant, and Corsola gets some Grass moves like Ingrain because of the way coral acts. I don't think it's unreasonable for it to get Spiky Shield.
