Pokemon back when was all about collecting, exploring & going on a journey with your bros. nowadays there's alot less of that and alot more of this cancer that is competitive pokemon. Im not even talking about the games anymore, Im talking about GameFreak's mindset on making pokemon all about online battling. We couldn't even get a full region with new pokemon in X & Y because they had to force all that fluff for people like him

All pokemon have to conform to the metagame now, so now they have to be careful to no introduce anything that might break it... & Mega Evolutions? they now have, what... upwards of 780 pokemon...they only have Mega's for what, 46?? now they have to backtrack. NOT thinking about new pokemon, NOT thinking about more interesting side features like the Battle Frontier, Pokemon Contests or the Pokemon World Tournament, or other cool shit like Silph Co.(Warp Tiles!) and Safari Zone & Great Marsh.
