Mega Slowbro can kill Ferrothorn with Fire Blast but not with Flamethrower (unless you invest much more in SpAtk). Mega Charizard Y can kill Lando-T and phys. Gliscor with Fire Blast but not with Flamethrower. Tank Chomp can 2HKO Ferrothorn with Fire Blast but not with Flamethrower.
Flinches suck, except both of the mons you suggested are fast offensive types. Common walls who will want to try to soak up attacks, like Clefable from Weavile's Icicle Crash, don't have the luxury of a weaker ability like Inner Focus.
Having a cleric and being able to use it in the heat of battle are two different things. And if your cleric gets frozen, tough luck.
Battle Armor would need to be on more relevant walls and Lucky Chant is a waste of a turn.
