Do you remember any of your friends or your sibling's friends stealing or borrowing any of your games and never giving them back?

My Pokemon Puzzle League is somewhere out there.

Getting rid of that Smoke Smell

No.2769005 ViewReplyReportDelete
Any advice for getting cigarette smoke smell out of classic game stuff?

The only time I ever got it out of an electronic device in the past was by thoroughly submerging an old laptop in a bathtub and washing it with dish soap. That worked for the most part, but of course the clock battery died in the process and the screen was rather screwed up by the water that collected inside of it (which eventually evaporated but left white spots in the screen, dunno if that was some kind of buildup or damage to the screen or whatever else). My point is, I could have done it better, but it did get the smell out.

I now have an Atari Lynx that has the smell in it. I've washed the exterior with soap and water using a rag (not doing the full submerge again), but the smell is still present. I suspect that to truly get it I'll need to open the console up, fully wash the plastic case parts, and gently wash the electronics with a soapy toothbrush or something. Is this a sound option, or should I consider other methods? Thanks fellow troopers.

Hey /vr/ troopers. It's the weekend, no work tomorrow and most of us just got paid. What does Friday have in store?

Pic related, just met up with some friends for pinball and beer, heading home for takeaway dinner and possible Doom or MegaDrive play afterwards
