Burning PS1 Games

I recently got my hands on a modded PlayStation and wanted to burn some games for it. I have some 52x JVCs and a burner with 48x CD-R write speed. I've heard that burning at a slow speed is key, but I've also heard that it isn't always the best method. What is a good way to avoid burning a bunch of coasters?

If you want a hassle-free way of playing PS1 games without burning them to CD, getting a PS3 with CFW allows you to play them from the hard drive/usb. Much more convenient imo.

Burning at slow speed was more important back in the day. Now just burn at half the max rated speed of your burner. If you want to reduce coasters then bear in mind:

1. Quality of media
2. Whether you have good quality rips (use hash sums and associated websites to verify)
3. Use the correct burning software (clonecd is easiest and best cos it covers you for everything)

I burned PS1 games for a long time on my PSone since all you need to do is use a piece of tissue and do the disc swap trick.
Generally just burn at the lowest speed you can and it will work.
Never got konami games to work though for some odd reason SotN would give me a black screen and that complete bullshit yu gi oh game would tell me I had an illigetimate copy

Buy a new lasrer from ebay... $7. Fixed most of my issues. Also i havent found a good modern cdr brand. I still get a skip here and there on a new laser. The lowest my burner does is 10x.

No, it only allows you to check if your rip is the same file as what some other guy on the internet put in on an online database. That's not any kind of indication of quality, since any such database could be filled with any kind of values - like rips downloaded from the internet.
