also how kath sourcie or whatever her name is was a VA, they were always good at getting cartoon VAs. they even got gilbert gotfried in that game

the games actually werent that intuitive, the moderator would have to point out where to go for the other kids

they had a closet full of mainstream games that we got to choose from as our "pay".

Yeah, the original 4th grade one was this haunted island version. They later changed it to Sapphire falls because it was thought to be too scary for kids (or an edutainment game).

My mom was a teacher and we have the haunted island version. I've got it loaded on a virtual machine of mine as well.

Although the Super Solvers stuff was more late 80's, i think it's close enough. Was still pretty relevant in the early 90's before CD's started to become more mainstream.

I only had clue finders 3rd grade as a kid and it was always hard as fuck but I was never very good at math.

I always wanted the jump starts and stuff too. I also had another game where you could be a little (black?) girl and there was this worm with a book that helped out. It was a platformer I think.

I finally figured out the name of the math "crossword" game I played a ton of as a kid. It was called Mutanoid Math Challenge. I was pretty surprised how much I remembered about the game: the crosswords, the weird-ass green aliens, and the smug looking game show host (although I forgot he had a TV for a head). Unfortunately, the game's never been dumped, which is probably why it took so long to find. None of the abandonware sites had any info on it, and it's not even on gamefaqs. The only other version released was on an obscure edutainment console called the Tandy VIS.

Might be a little broad for the topic, but Club Kidsoft was the shit. I had Volume 2 Issue 3, but I know there were others that seem to be better remembered. Always wanted to learn how to break the encryption scheme on it but never did get that far.
