I need to replace a couple of cart stickers from games I got in very bad conditions. Is there a website/torrent/whatever with a collection of these pictures per system? Sure, I could search for each picture and edit it individually, but since there's so much preservation efforts out there I figured something like this must exist already.

OP here. Well I googled about for awhile and I realized that

1. There's people selling them, 5 bucks each, pic related.
2. There's webmasters from the usual boxart and manuals repositories that are against replacing labels because muh devaluation.

Fuck everyone, I'm using google and photoshop.

I think if your label is in decent condition, and is over 70% in tact, you should just leave it.

If its falling off, or alreayd fallen off, or you can't tell what it is, then sure.

My Megaman X3 had no label when I got it (flea market bargin bin, like a grab bag, loose carts no label for like 50cents or a buck or something I ended up getting X3 from it). I ended up buying a replacement label on eBay.

Obviously it depends where you get it from, but most people tag "reproduction label" on them. Its funny because no one is going to assume that blurry piece of shit is a legit label. Dude shutdown his ebay account because he got like 15 negative feedback over the course of 1 week because he refused refunds and didnt communicate and just mailed out shitty labels.

The site has really harsh quality control. You have to search the forum if you want to find anything. It never hurts to request a scan either.

that site you got that pic from retrogamelabels or whatever, I would not recommend. The print quality is not good (seems low res to me) and the labels are not glossy.

gamereproductions makes MUCH better labels, but they won't reprint labels for officially released games.

To add to the discussion... yes, these are games with the labels absolutely wrecked. There's a couple of repro too I got with original game's label half-tore off and all painted over with big fat red permanent ink, the worst possible way to say THIS IS NOT ACTUALLY FRIDAY 12TH. Yes, they were either gifts or games I got for almost nothing.

And while I don't care for authenticity all that much (I only care for my games to work good and my carts to look good), I do respect it for others, so to give some peace of mind, I'll tell you I'm not replacing labels where you can still tell which fucking game it is, and if I ever got around to sell them I sure as hell will sell them for less than the originals pointing out "this is repro", or "the label is a reproduction" for the 4-5 games I have in those conditions. While I haven't sold anything never, I do believe in treating buyers like you want to be treated when you're buying.

It's ok, I won't buy them. Not for $5 each at least (if I'm gonna be spending money then I should just buy the damn games again). I have a laser color printer that does glossy stickers just fine.
