I would like to hear your experiences with SNES flash carts. I'm looking to purchase one online and I keep reading differing opinions on most models out there. The everdrives seem a bit pricey as I'd rather not spend over $100, but what would VR recommend as far as flash carts for the SNES. Thanks in advance.

Get a shit game at a pawn store and replace with the sticker. You won't be able to play a few games without the chip. But most work.

I got an Everdrive for N64. Same company makes one for SNES. It cost me 130 apx. Just get it. No reason to cheap out. 30$ isnt much in the long run.

I got a Super Everdrive V2.1, without included DSP. I bought a cheap game with a DSP, since I'm going to pull the chip and transfer it over.

It cost me about 80$, and another 5$ for the crap game with DSP. I can't play any of the CX4 games, but other than that there is no real difference right now between the SuperED and the SD2SNES. They say it will one day support SuperFX games, but I don't think it's worth the price until it does.

The author is also making fuck all progress getting anything else supported by sd2snes, so you'd be spending extra money on completely theoretical differences. Super Everdrive with DSP is the best option in the admittedly troublesome world of SNES flashcarts.

It totally depends what you want to do. For me, being able to transfer saves to/from my carts is a must to the ED doesn't cut it. If you just want to play ROMs it's the best bang for buck by far. If you're a super poorfag get some Chinese shit.

SD2SNES has better compatibility as it can simulate some expansion chips, but it is much more expensive.
